RedNote Scraper - Xiaohongshu Notes & Engagement

1.3万 is how RedNote writes 13,000, because 万 means ten thousand. Rows here carry the real integers: description, author, likes, collects, comment count, shares, publish time and images. No login, no cookies. $0.90 per 1,000 notes.

RedNote (Xiaohongshu) Scraper

Reads public RedNote notes and returns one row each: title, description (the full post text), authorName, likedCount, collectedCount, commentCount, shareCount, publishedAt and an images array.

Two ways to point it at notes. Paste note links into noteUrls, or leave that empty and let it read the public explore feed. No account, no cookie, no API key.

$0.90 per 1,000 notes ($0.0009 each), plus $0.001 each time a run starts.

Counts come back as numbers

RedNote writes big numbers as 1.3万 and 2.5亿. Those are 13,000 and 250,000,000. This expands them before writing the row, so likedCount is 13000 and not 1.3. Sorting your dataset by engagement actually works.

The token thing

RedNote note links carry a short-lived xsec_token. A bare /explore/<id> URL returns "page not found" no matter what. So when you paste links, paste the whole URL including ?xsec_token=..., exactly as RedNote shared it.

If you don't have tokens, leave noteUrls empty. The explore feed is where the note ids and their tokens come from in the first place, which is the main reason includeExploreFeed defaults to on.

Tokens expire. A URL you saved last month will probably fail with an uncharged NOT_FOUND row. Copy a fresh one.

Input

{
"noteUrls": [],
"includeExploreFeed": true,
"maxItems": 20
}
FieldWhat it does
noteUrlsRedNote note links, full URL including ?xsec_token=….
includeExploreFeedRead the public explore feed. Default on. Also how valid tokens are obtained.
maxItems1 to 200, default 20.
proxyConfigurationOptional. Leave it unless you need a specific egress.

Limits

  • Public notes only. Private and deleted notes return an uncharged NOT_FOUND row.
  • No comment text. RedNote serves comment bodies through a separately signed endpoint that needs an account. You get an accurate commentCount and nothing invented to fill the gap.
  • No keyword search. RedNote's search results aren't in the public HTML. Use the explore feed or supply note URLs.
  • The explore feed is whatever RedNote is showing right now. It changes between runs, so two runs won't return the same notes. If you want a time series, schedule it and keep the snapshots.
  • 200 notes per run is the ceiling.

Billing

$0.0009 per note row, plus the $0.001 start fee. Flat on every plan including the free one, no volume tiers.

Only genuine note rows are charged. Blocked pages, expired tokens, empty runs, diagnostic rows and the labelled sample row are not. A run where RedNote refuses everything costs $0.001.
