Get an author's public activity feed: their Notes and the posts they publish or restack, newest first, or only their notes, posts, replies, restacks or likes. Each item is tagged note, post or comment and says what the author did with it. Notes carry text, engagement and any quoted post or note.
Features
- Real-time Substack data — results are fetched live at run time, never cached or stale
- No login, cookies, or proxy configuration needed — just provide the input and run
- Each result is pushed as a separate dataset item, exportable as JSON, CSV, or Excel
- Fast: a typical run finishes in seconds
Input
| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
username | string | no | Substack handle, e.g. lenny, with or without a leading @ (max 100 characters). Provide one of username, user_id or url. |
user_id | string | no | Numeric Substack user ID, as returned in user_id. Provide one of username, user_id or url. |
url | string | no | Profile URL, e.g. https://substack.com/@lenny (max 500 characters). Provide one of username, user_id or url. |
type | string | no | Only one kind of activity: note, post, reply, restack or like. Omit for notes, posts and restacks. One of: note, post, reply, restack, like. |
pages | integer | no | Number of pages to fetch and merge into one response (1-250, billed per page returned). Each page returns 12 items. Fetching stops early when there are no more results. |
Pricing
This Actor is billed per page of results — $0.003 per page.
- Results come in pages. Use the
pagesinput to choose how many pages to fetch (1–250); more pages means more results. - You pay $0.003 for each page you fetch, so
pages: 3costs $0.009 andpages: 1costs $0.003. - You’re only charged when a run succeeds, or when it fails because what you asked for was looked up and doesn’t exist, is private, or isn’t valid: that costs one page ($0.003). Other failed runs are free.
