How it works

Product pages are requested through the Apify residential proxy with a Chrome TLS fingerprint; the exit country is pinned to the chosen marketplace, so amazon.de prices come back in EUR and not in a random currency. The HTML is parsed directly (no browser), which keeps a product at roughly one second. In monitor mode the run compares price, buy-box seller, availability and rating against the previous run of the same Task and pushes only changed products, with changedFields and previous attached.

Limits

• Runs through the Apify residential proxy; proxy traffic is billed by Apify at platform rates on top of the result price (product pages are about 1.5 MB each).
• Throughput is roughly one product per second per run; split large catalogues across several runs.
• boughtPastMonth and listPrice appear only where Amazon shows them; isPrime is read from the buy box and can be null.
• zipCode is best effort: if Amazon rejects the location change, the run continues with the default location and the price is the non-localised one.
• Review texts are not returned — Amazon keeps them behind login.

FAQ

Can I scrape Amazon prices by ASIN in bulk? Yes. Put the ASINs into asins (or full product URLs into urls) and raise maxItems. One row per ASIN comes back with price, buy-box seller and availability.

Does it work on Amazon UK, Germany and the other marketplaces? Yes — 14 marketplaces via the marketplace field. The proxy exit country follows the marketplace, so the price and currency are the ones a local shopper sees.

How do I get an alert when an Amazon price drops? Save the actor as a Task, set mode to monitor and fill in webhookUrl or the Telegram fields, then schedule the Task. Each run returns only the products whose price, seller, stock or rating changed, with the previous values attached.
