What this Actor does

This Actor collects public Bayt.com job listings from the search values you provide and can enrich each listing from Bayt's public job-detail responses. It generates Bayt source routes internally, returns one deduplicated Dataset item per job, and includes listing-card fields plus structured detail fields when the source exposes them. The Actor uses HTTP requests only and does not require a Bayt login or API key.

How to use

1. Open the Actor in Apify Console.
2. Add one or more entries in Job searches.
3. For each entry, enter the job title or keywords, choose a country, and optionally enter a city.
4. Choose a maximum number of unique jobs and whether to fetch full details.
5. Click Start and open the Dataset when the run finishes.

Input

searches is required and accepts 1–25 search definitions. Each definition contains keywords, a Bayt country, and an optional city. The Actor creates the source search routes internally, so you do not need to know or submit Bayt URLs. maxItems is a global cap across all searches and defaults to 30. fetchDetails defaults to true; disabling it returns listing-card data without canonical detail requests. Source recovery is managed internally by the Actor; no transport configuration is required or exposed in the input.

Output

Results are stored in the default Dataset. Each job is one recordType: "job" item. If a target remains unavailable after bounded HTTP recovery, the Actor keeps already collected jobs and writes a recordType: "run_status" item with a safe status and error type instead of stopping the whole run.

Limits and data quality

Bayt controls the available pages and may change markup, pagination, descriptions, salary visibility, or access responses. Detail fields are populated only when present on the public source page. Duplicate jobs across generated searches are removed, and maxItems is a global cap. A source challenge does not invalidate already delivered jobs; inspect run_status items and the run summary for partial coverage.

The Actor uses bounded request timeouts and retries. It may take longer when many detail pages are requested. To improve consistency, use specific job titles or skills, keep result caps realistic, and avoid submitting duplicate search definitions in one run.

How do I search a specific country or city?

Choose the country in the search definition and enter the city when needed. Leave the city blank to search the whole country. Use international with an empty city for the global Bayt search.

Does the Actor require a browser, login, or Bayt API key?

No. The Actor uses HTTP requests against public Bayt pages and does not require a user login or API key.

What happens if Bayt blocks one page?

The Actor makes bounded recovery attempts managed by its runtime. It keeps delivered records, writes a safe run_status item for an unavailable target, and continues with other input targets.
