Companies that just raised capital, with the phone number and street address they filed themselves, and the names of the people who signed for it.

Every private company raising money in the US files a Form D with the SEC. In that filing it states, in its own words, how much it sold, where it sits, what its phone number is and who its executive officers and directors are. This Actor reads those filings the day they appear, drops the investment funds, and hands you what is left as a lead list.

Around 700 of these filings a month come from operating companies rather than funds. A company that just closed a round is about to spend it.

For AI agents and automation

Works as a tool for any MCP client, as a step in n8n, Make or Zapier, and as a plain REST call.

{ "daysBack": 3, "minAmount": 5000000, "states": ["CA"] }

Every field is flat and typed, so an agent can filter on amount_raised or state without parsing prose. The same data is available across eleven other streams through the DataSignals Events API if you want SEC, FDA, NIH, federal contracts, Congress trades and hiring signals in one schema.

What you get

One row per company, not per filing.

Why the names are off by default

The company name, street address and phone number come from a public register and are company data. The names of executives and directors are personal data, and using them to approach someone brings obligations along under GDPR, including an absolute right to object.

So includePeople is off, and the two name fields come back empty. Turn it on only if you have a lawful basis for contacting named individuals. When it is on, executives and directors are split apart, because the executive officer is the one worth a call and a single list of eight names leaves you to sort that out yourself.

The phone number and address are what a seller actually needs, and those work either way.

Who buys this

  • Sales teams selling to companies with fresh budget: software, recruiting, legal, insurance, office space, banking
  • Recruiters, because a company that raised is a company that hires
  • VC and PE associates tracking who else is in a round
  • Anyone building a lead pipeline that needs a reason to call, not just a name

The score runs 0 to 100 on size, freshness and security type, so you can sort a week of leads without reading all of them.

Pricing

Pay per lead delivered. A run that finds three leads costs three leads. Set maxResults and you have set your ceiling.

Nothing is charged for a run that finds nothing, and the charge happens before the row is delivered, so a run that hits your cost limit stops rather than handing you rows you did not pay for.

Subscriptions and shared agent access

Scored signals from SEC, FDA, Congress and other official filings. The daily output is hashed and anchored, so past signals cannot be edited. Agents call it over MCP. See the track record

Every score in every report lists the terms it was built from, so you can check the number instead of trusting it.

This Actor is part of DataSignals Lab. It does not feed the signal reports. The plans below cover those and the shared MCP access. All prices are listed on the pricing page:

  • Free. Report previews, a weekly signal digest and 50 free MCP calls per month for AI agents.
  • Snapshot, $19 one time. The current edition of one report plus 30 days of updates.
  • DataSignals Pro, $29 per month or $290 per year. All three reports refreshed monthly, MCP access for AI agents (2000 calls per month fair use), email alerts. Cancel anytime.

Data source and compliance

SEC EDGAR, Form D, read from the daily index the same day it publishes. Address, phone number, executives and directors come out of the filing itself, filed by the company. This is company information published by a regulator, not data collected from private profiles.

Pooled investment funds are filtered out by default. They file the most Form Ds and they buy nothing.

Names of individuals are only included when you ask for them, and how they may be used is set out in the privacy policy. Anyone who appears in this data can ask to be removed by writing to support@datasignalslab.com with "filing data" in the subject.

FAQ

How fresh is it? Filings appear in the EDGAR daily index the day they are filed. With daysBack: 1 you see today's.

How many leads per run? A single trading day of operating companies above one million dollars is usually 5 to 25. Three days is a workable list, five days is a full week.

Do all of them have a phone number? Nearly all. The SEC requires the field. On a sample of fresh filings on 10 September 2026, six of six carried one.

Do I get the names of the founders? Only if you set includePeople to true. Company data comes back either way, personal data is a choice you make.

Are these email addresses? No. Form D carries a phone number and a street address, not email. Anyone claiming SEC-sourced emails is guessing them.

Why are the amounts sometimes zero? A company can file before the first sale closes. amount_target then shows what it is trying to raise and amount_raised is zero. Set minAmount above zero to skip those.

Can I follow one company? Not here. This scan looks at most five trading days back, so a named company is almost never in it. Use the Startup Funding Tracker for the filing view.

What is the difference with the Startup Funding Tracker? Same source, different job. The Tracker is for watching the filings. This one is for calling the company.

Does it work as an MCP tool? Yes, through the Apify MCP server, and eleven other streams are in the DataSignals MCP.
