French Company Registry Scraper

Each row is one French company from the Sirene register, as the government's Annuaire des Entreprises API serves it together with RNE data: name, legal category, NAF code, head office, status, size category, headcount band and the latest turnover and net result. The actor adds collective proceedings from the BODACC gazette and a VIES check. Enter SIREN, SIRET or FR VAT numbers and click Start. Entrepreneurs individuels and companies under partial diffusion come back without name or address. It costs $2.00 per 1,000 company records on the Free plan ($1.00 on Business), and the $5 of monthly credit in Apify's Free plan covers about 2,500 company records. BODACC and VIES add $0.001 each when they answer.

What data does it return?

companyCategory	INSEE size category, such as GE (large company) or PME (small or medium-sized).
employeeBand, employeeBandYear	Salaried headcount band in words and the year it refers to, such as 10,000 and more for 2023.
financials	Turnover and net result in EUR per year, newest first, as the Annuaire des Entreprises publishes them; empty when the company publishes no accounts.
bodaccChecked	true when BODACC was searched; null when the search was off or the gazette did not answer.
collectiveProceedings	Each collective-proceedings notice found, newest first, with publication date, notice family, nature, judgment date, court and a link to bodacc.fr.
riskFlags	Warnings in plain English, open proceedings first; empty when nothing was found.
provenance	The sources asked for the row, each with its URL, the time and whether it answered.

How to check French companies

1. In Companies to check, enter a JSON list of SIREN ("380129866"), SIRET ("38012986648625") or VAT numbers ("FR89380129866"), or objects such as {"siren": "552032534", "reference": "supplier-42"}. A SIRET is reduced to its SIREN and kept on the row.
2. Keep Search the BODACC gazette for collective proceedings on to check each company against the gazette.
3. Leave Confirm VAT numbers in EU VIES on to confirm each company's VAT number as well.
4. Click Start. The Output tab fills row by row and exports to CSV, Excel or JSON. The same input works through the API:

You pay for the events in the table and nothing else: compute time and proxies are included.

Two extra sources can apply: the BODACC search, which counts whenever the gazette answered, also when it found no notice, and a VIES answer. For 1,000 companies with both, that is $2.00 plus $2.00 on the Free plan, or $1.00 plus $1.00 on Business. The run fee is charged a single time, when Sirene returns the first company. A number that fails the Luhn check or the VAT key, a SIREN that Sirene does not know and a lookup that Sirene could not answer are not charged.

Limits

• For an entrepreneur individuel (legal category 1000) the name and address are withheld and VIES is not asked. Companies that chose partial diffusion of their data come back without name and address as well, as the register requires.
• BODACC is searched for the 20 most recent collective-proceedings notices of a company; older ones are not returned.
• financials holds only what the Annuaire des Entreprises publishes. In the example run that was at most one year per company.
• The headcount band can be a few years old; employeeBandYear gives the year.
• Companies are checked one at a time. In the example run each took about 10 seconds, most of it spent waiting for the French VIES service, while Sirene and BODACC answered within about 2 seconds.

How BODACC notices become a risk flag

A company stays active in Sirene until it is struck off, even when a court has already opened receivership (redressement judiciaire) or judicial liquidation. The judgments are published in BODACC, and the actor reads up to 20 of the latest collective-proceedings notices for every SIREN. It then looks for the most recent judgment among them and ignores later notices such as the filing of the list of claims. An opening or a conversion judgment puts COLLECTIVE PROCEEDINGS OPEN at the top of riskFlags; a closing judgment, or the adoption of a safeguard or recovery plan, is reported as past proceedings. In the run of the example, a Marseille company whose file was closed for lack of assets in June 2026 got the past-proceedings flag, although a notice about its list of claims followed in August.

Following suppliers over time

Save the input as a task with a schedule, or start each run with the same Watch name. Every run compares its rows with the previous run of that name and writes the differences to the CHANGES record: a new BODACC judgment, a company closed in Sirene, a new year of results, a VAT number that VIES no longer confirms. There is no fee for the comparison.

FAQ

Is it legal to scrape Sirene and BODACC?

Sirene, the RNE and BODACC are published by the French administration as open data, here through the Annuaire des Entreprises API and the BODACC open data portal of DILA, and VIES is the European Commission's public VAT check. The actor never reads the list of directors, and it leaves out the names and addresses of entrepreneurs individuels and of companies under partial diffusion. You are responsible for how you use the results.

Can I check a single establishment?

Enter its SIRET. The actor checks the company the SIRET belongs to, whose SIREN is the first 9 digits, and returns your SIRET next to the head office's headSiret. Name, address and the other fields describe the company and its head office, so the establishment's own address is not in the row.
