Google Play reviews with the developer's replies, plus ratings, prices and versions from both app stores, as clean JSON. 41 fields per row, 605 rows from five apps in 6 seconds, 0 failures. Paste app URLs, or just a keyword, and put it on a schedule to see only what is new.

Reads the same public endpoints the stores' own web pages use. No API key, no login, no browser.

It often doesn't acknowledge I'm online and leaves me in offline mode for 5-10 minutes, even after I do a hard shut down of the app. And now the app won't auto play audiobook chapters that I'm listening too, forcing me to interact with the phone at the end of every chapter, which is a problem when I'm listening at work. Watch your reviews: only what is new

This is the reason to schedule it. Give the run a Monitor name and turn Only changes on:

• every review you have already received is left out and not billed
• an app row comes back as updated when its price, its version, or its average rating to two decimals moved, carrying previous_price, previous_rating and previous_version. The raw rating count is deliberately not a change trigger: on a big app it ticks every minute, and billing you for that would be dishonest
• every row carries change_status and first_seen_at

Neither store lists its reviews completely, so this Actor never claims a review was removed: absence from a window proves nothing. State is kept in a key-value store on your own Apify account, one per Actor.

Only 1 and 2 star reviews from the last week, across 20 competitor apps, once a day is three fields: Maximum review rating 2, Reviewed within (days) 7, and a Monitor name. Filtering happens before a row is saved, so you do not pay for the rest. In the run above, 273 of 600 reviews (45%) were 1-star and 60 carried a developer reply.

About App Store reviews, plainly. Apple publishes a customer-reviews feed that this Actor reads, and when it answers you get up to 500 reviews per app and country. It is a legacy endpoint and it is unreliable: on 2026-09-22 it served several hundred reviews in the morning and then returned an empty feed for every app, every country and from two different networks for the rest of the day, while Apple's other endpoints kept working normally. The Actor asks for them, retries an empty page twice, and if nothing comes back it says so in the run log and still delivers the App Store ratings, prices and versions, which are unaffected. Do not buy this Actor for App Store review text alone. Buy it for Google Play reviews and for both stores' ratings and prices.

Why not build it yourself

Google Play's review endpoint is not documented: the request is a nested positional array inside a form field, the response arrives behind an anti-hijacking prefix in a chunked envelope, reviews come back as 17-slot arrays with no field names, and paging needs a token pulled out of the previous response. Apple's feed is served from shards that return empty pages at random even when it is healthy, so an empty page means nothing on its own. $1.00 per 1,000 rows, and when a source changes we fix it within 48 hours. Every Apify account includes $5 of free usage a month, so your first 5,000 rows cost nothing.

Founding price: $1.00 per 1,000 rows for the first 100 users. It then rises to $1.50. Users who joined at the founding price keep it.

What we deliberately do not collect

• No reviewer names. Both stores put the reviewer's display name on every review. It is never read and never stored. A review is identified by the store's own review id.
• E-mail addresses and phone numbers written inside a review, a developer reply or a store description are replaced before the row is saved.
• Public endpoints only, read at a polite rate (5 requests a second at most). Nothing behind a login, and no private API with a token.

How to run it

1. Click Run. The defaults read three sample apps.
2. Replace them with your own App URLs, or list ids under Apps (324684580, com.spotify.music, or apple:324684580), or type a word into Or find apps by keyword.
3. Set Store country for the front you care about, and Review pages per app (0 for ratings and prices only).
4. Narrow with Minimum / Maximum review rating and Reviewed within (days).
5. Set Max rows to cap the run. That is also your spend cap.
6. Download as JSON, CSV or Excel, or call it from the API or from an AI agent over MCP. The id field is stable, so de-duplicating between runs is one line.

FAQ

Can I get Google Play reviews without an API key? Yes, and that is the core of this Actor: it calls the same public endpoint the Play Store's own web page uses, 40 reviews a page, paged as deep as you ask, with the developer's replies included.

Does the App Store have a public API for reviews? Apple publishes a legacy customer-reviews feed, and this Actor reads it, but it is unreliable and has returned empty for every app for long stretches. App Store ratings, prices, versions and release notes come from a different Apple endpoint and are reliable.

How do I get only new reviews since yesterday? Schedule the Actor with a Monitor name and Only changes. It compares against what your previous run actually received, so it works without a date cursor.

Do you store who wrote a review? No. Reviewer display names are never read or stored, and contact details inside review text are removed.

How fresh is the data? Every run is live. There is no database in between.
