What does Google Jobs Scraper do?

Google Jobs collects job postings from across the web: LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Glassdoor, Monster, niche job boards and thousands of company career pages. This actor runs a Google Jobs search for any job title and location and gives you every listing as clean, structured data. One search covers many job boards at once, and you get every apply link for each job.

Why use it?

  • Many job boards, one search. One tool instead of a separate LinkedIn scraper, Indeed scraper and career-page crawler. Each job lists all the places you can apply (e.g. "Apply on LinkedIn", "Apply on Indeed", "Apply on company site").
  • Salary data. When Google shows a salary (e.g. "125K–175K a year", "17–20 an hour"), you get it.
  • Full job descriptions plus Google's "job highlights" (qualifications, responsibilities, benefits).
  • Reliable. No browser, no login, no cookies. Automatic retries and backoff. Runs finish in about 1–4 minutes.
  • Fair, simple pricing. $2.00 per 1,000 jobs. You pay only for unique jobs saved, not for pages or retries.
  • Works for AI agents. Simple input (keywords + locations + limit) and a documented output schema. Easy to call from MCP clients, LangChain, n8n, Make or Zapier.

How to use it

  1. Enter one or more job titles or keywords (e.g. registered nurse, data analyst).
  2. Enter one or more locations (e.g. Chicago, IL, London, Remote).
  3. Optionally pick a date posted filter and set the maximum number of jobs. The country is detected from your locations.
  4. Click Start. Download the results as JSON, CSV, Excel, or get them through the API.

Example input:

{
"queries": ["registered nurse", "nurse practitioner"],
"locations": ["Chicago, IL"],
"datePosted": "week",
"maxItems": 200
}

How much does it cost?

$2.00 per 1,000 jobs ($0.002 per job). No start fee, no monthly rent. Paid Apify plans get a discount: Bronze $1.90, Silver $1.80, Gold and above $1.70 per 1,000 jobs. 100 jobs cost about $0.20. Apify's free plan ($5/month credit) covers about 2,500 jobs a month. You can set a maximum cost per run, and the actor stops cleanly when it's reached.

Run it from your code

Get your API token in Apify Console → Settings → API & Integrations.

Python (pip install apify-client)

from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("ecclesiasteslabs/google-jobs-scraper").call(run_input={"queries": ["data analyst"], "locations": ["London"], "datePosted": "week", "maxItems": 100})
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
print(item)

JavaScript / Node.js (npm install apify-client)

import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN' });
const run = await client.actor('ecclesiasteslabs/google-jobs-scraper').call({"queries": ["data analyst"], "locations": ["London"], "datePosted": "week", "maxItems": 100});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
console.log(items);

HTTP (one call, returns the results)

curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/ecclesiasteslabs~google-jobs-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"queries": ["data analyst"], "locations": ["London"], "datePosted": "week", "maxItems": 100}'

Integrations

  • AI agents (MCP): connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client to Apify's MCP server and the agent can call this actor directly.
  • No-code: use the Apify modules in Make, Zapier or n8n to send results to Google Sheets, Airtable, Slack or a CRM.
  • Schedules: run it daily or hourly in Apify Console → Schedules, and get only new results with a short time filter.

Use cases

  • Recruiters and staffing agencies: find companies hiring for a role in a city, with apply links and salary ranges.
  • Job boards and aggregators: fill your board with fresh listings every day (use "Past 24 hours" on a schedule).
  • Labor-market and salary research: track hiring demand and pay by role and region.
  • Sales and lead generation: companies that are hiring are companies that are growing.
  • AI job-search agents: give your agent live job listings with direct apply links.

Looking for an Indeed or LinkedIn jobs scraper?

Google Jobs already includes many postings from Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter and Glassdoor. Each job comes with its apply links on those sites. If you want job listings rather than profile data from one specific site, this actor gives you broader coverage in one run. It is not an official API of any of those sites. It reads the public Google Jobs results. If you need data that only exists on one site (e.g. LinkedIn applicant counts), use a dedicated scraper for that site.

Tips

  • Country is detected automatically from each location (Berlin → Germany, London → UK). Set country only to force one country for every search.
  • Language is automatic too: English first, then the country's own language if English finds nothing. Set it only to force one language.
  • Tested and working: US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Mexico, Brazil, India, Japan, Singapore, UAE, South Africa. Google Jobs isn't available in every country. If a search finds nothing, the run stops quickly, tells you why, and you aren't charged.
  • City-level locations give the best results.
  • Google shows about 10 jobs per search. To find more, the actor automatically runs variations of your search (by date window, job type and seniority) and removes duplicates. Very narrow searches (rare job + small town) may return fewer jobs than your limit. You only pay for jobs actually returned.
  • In EU countries Google shows a shorter job preview instead of the full description.
  • Schedule a daily run with "Past 24 hours" and deduplicate by jobId to track new postings.

FAQ

Is it legal? The actor collects publicly available job listings from Google search results. It does not log in or collect personal data beyond what employers publish in job ads. Check the rules that apply to your use case and jurisdiction.

Which countries work? Any country where Google Jobs is available. Tested and working: US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Mexico, Brazil, India, Japan, Singapore, UAE and South Africa.

Why do I get fewer jobs than I asked for? Google has only a limited number of listings for some searches. Try broader keywords or more locations.
