API results VS Binance results

Hi there,

Is this API working correctly? For some reason, the results returned by API and the results shown on Binance Leaderboard differ. I am using the same filters (using your API and BInance). Any ideas why these results might differ?

Hey there,

Thank you very much for reaching out. Can you please share an example so that we can check it?

Sure. As you can see in my screenshot "Mr_ZH" username exists (look at the bottom). However, in API returned results this user does not exist.

Hey there,

I just checked the actor and ran it within the same filters. After the execution, I confirmed that the data is matching up with the Binance and the actor.

Unfortunately, I don't know which input parameters you added to the actor but when I cross-check the data, it seems like the actor retrieved COIN-M results and you are cross-checking it with the USD-M. If possible, can you please double-check if that is the case? If not, I'd like you to send us the Run ID so that we can investigate in a deep manner.

Hey again,

Sorry for the late response. We checked your Run and how the actor went through the data extraction flow. Unfortunately, we could not find any problems with it. But you are absolutely right, the trader you were looking for does not exist on the output data.

The actor is using the raw API directly from Binance. So whatever you see on the website, the actor retrieves it. The only possible explanation of the situation you are facing might be the maxItems. By default, the actor comes up with the maxItems value set to 100. Meaning that you will only retrieve the 100 traders from that endpoint. Whenever it reaches 100, the actor stops. To disable that option, you can just remove the value of 100 in the maxItems and let the actor retrieve everything. Can you please test it out again without maxItems and cross-check? Due to our tests, everything seems okay but we might be missing something.

Please let me know the results. Also, if you have any questions or need any further assistance, please let me know. My utmost goal is to provide a solution where you are completely satisfied.
