What does Google Play Scraper do?

Google Play Scraper collects app details, keyword search rankings, top charts, developer portfolios, similar apps and reviews from Google Play, for any country and language, without a browser.

It costs $0.50 per 1,000 apps and $0.10 per 1,000 reviews, with no start fee. Apps that don't exist, searches with no results and reviews your filters leave out are free. Apify's free plan ($5 of credit every month) covers about 10,000 app details or 50,000 reviews a month.

What data can you get?

• Search: the apps Google Play shows for a keyword, in order, with each app's position. Track keyword rankings (ASO) and see who you compete with.
• App details: title, developer, category and tags, rating and star histogram, number of ratings and reviews, installs, price, in-app purchases, ads, content rating and its reasons, release date, last update, what's new, version, description, screenshots, header image, promo video, privacy policy, permissions, the data safety summary and the top-chart badge ("#1 top free communication").
• Reviews: rating, text, date, helpful votes, app version, the developer's reply and the extra ratings some reviewers give (graphics, gameplay...). Nothing about the reviewer: no name, photo or ID. Filter by date, rating, keywords, app version, replies, helpful votes or length: reviews left out are not charged.
• A developer's apps: the apps on a developer's Google Play page, from its name, numeric ID or link.
• Similar apps: the apps Google Play lists as similar to an app, up to about 50.
• Top charts: top free, top paid or top grossing, for all apps, all games or any category, up to about 200 apps per country.

Why use this Google Play scraper?

• No reviewer personal data. Reviews come with rating, text, date, helpful votes, app version and the developer's reply, but no reviewer name, photo or ID, so there is nothing to scrub before you analyse them.
• You only pay for what you keep. Filter reviews by date, rating, keywords, app version, developer reply, helpful votes or length: reviews left out are never charged, and with newest-first order the scraper stops paging as soon as reviews get older than your date.
• No artificial limits. The API, schedules and full results work on every Apify plan, including the free one; maxResults counts per app or per search term, not per run.
• Everything on the app page. Star histogram, what's new, permissions, the data safety summary, screenshots, video and chart badge come with every app, at no extra cost.

• Fast and patient. Plain web requests instead of a browser; when Google Play says no, the scraper switches IP and backs off, and one bad input never stops the run.
• Safe restarts. If the platform moves your run to another server, it resumes where it stopped, without duplicate rows or double charges.

Apify adds a tiny start fee of $0.00005 per run, which also buys the run's first seconds of compute. There are no proxy or compute charges on top.

Examples: the 1,000 newest reviews of an app cost $0.10; tracking the details of 50 competitor apps every week costs about $0.11 a month; the top 200 free games in one country cost $0.10.

Good to know

• Most searches return the apps Google Play shows on its results page, about 30. Searches for an app's name (e.g. "minecraft") can go on, and the Actor follows them up to maxResults, about 250 at most.
• A developer's page shows about 20 apps for a developer found by name and about 11 on numeric developer pages; the Actor returns those. Similar apps come from the app's "Similar apps" list, about 50; charts hold up to about 200 apps.
• Rankings, prices and availability depend on the country; titles, descriptions and reviews on the language.
• Reviews depend on the language, not the country: the same language in two countries returned the same reviews in our tests. So in reviews mode each language runs once, in the first of your countries, and you are not charged twice for the same reviews.
• countries and languages repeat every input in each combination (up to 50 per run); country and language still work for one.
• With reviewSort "newest", reviewsSince stops the paging as soon as older reviews arrive. With other orders, or with reviewsUntil far back on a busy app, the Actor pages through reviews to find matches and stops an app after 5,000 reviews in a row that match none of your filters.
• reviewsSince and reviewsUntil take a date (2026-09-01), a date and time in UTC, or a period back from now (7 days, 2 weeks, 3 months).
• criteria keeps Google's own ids. vaf_games_rating_* are star ratings (1 to 5) for graphics, gameplay and controls; the other ids are answers to Google's quick questions, as codes Google does not explain.
• dataSafety is the summary on the app page: what is shared and collected ("Location, Personal info and 5 others") and the security practices. permissions lists every permission with its group.
• installs is Google's rounded label; realInstalls is the more precise figure Google also publishes.
• Apps whose version "varies with device" have no single version.
• An app that is not available in the chosen country is reported as a free row, not charged. So are developers without a page, and searches, charts or filters that find nothing.
• The developer's email, address and phone shown on some app pages are never collected.

FAQ

Does it collect reviewer names or photos? No, by design: only the review itself and the developer's reply.

How many reviews can I get? As many as Google Play shows for the app, up to 10,000 per app in one run (maxResults).

Which countries and languages? Any Google Play country (two-letter code such as us or br) and language (such as en or pt-BR).

Does it support top charts? Yes: top free, top paid and top grossing, for all apps, all games or any category, per country (mode: "topCharts").

Do I need a Google account? No.

How do I get only new reviews every day? Sort by newest and set reviewsSince to 1 day (or 7 days for a weekly schedule), then schedule the task. Paging stops at the first older review, so you pay only for the new ones.
