Track what the tech and AI world is talking about right now — one unified dataset, refreshed on every run.
What it does
Aggregates four public sources into a single, deduplicated, sortable dataset:
| Source | What you get |
|---|---|
| Hacker News – front page | The 30 stories currently on HN's front page |
| Hacker News – Show HN | New products & side-projects launched in the last N days |
| Lobsters | Hottest stories from the high-signal tech community |
| GitHub trending | Fastest-growing repos created in the last N days (via the official Search API) |
No login, no API keys, no scraping HTML — every source is a public JSON API, so the Actor doesn't break when a page is redesigned.
Output
Each item has a uniform schema across all four sources:
{"source": "hn-frontpage","sourceUrl": "https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=123456","title": "...","url": "https://...","points": 437,"comments": 128,"author": "pg","tags": ["tech"],"createdAt": "2026-10-11T05:12:00.000Z","summary": "...","lang": null}
