Export active eBay listings from keyword searches and public search or category URLs with this eBay Marketplace Scraper. Get prices, available shipping costs, seller signals, auction data, images, and optional product details across eight marketplaces.
Use the dataset for price monitoring, product sourcing, resale research, assortment analysis, seller tracking, and auction alerts. No eBay account or developer API key is required. Only public active listings are supported. Sold-price history is not included.
Quick start
Start with the small input below, run the Actor and inspect its results.
{"searchQueries": ["wireless headphones"],"marketplace": "US","maxItemsPerQuery": 20,"maxPagesPerQuery": 2,"sort": "newly_listed","listingType": "all","includeDetails": false}
Prefer a video guide? This short Apify walkthrough shows you how to set up and run an Actor. It uses a different Actor, but the setup steps are the same.
Ready-to-run examples
Choose a public example to see its settings before starting a run:
- Scrape filtered eBay Germany Buy It Now listings
- Find eBay auctions ending soon
- Monitor newly listed eBay UK cameras
What you get
Each row represents one unique active listing. Download the dataset as CSV, Excel, or JSON, or retrieve it through the API.
| Output fields | Meaning |
|---|---|
itemId, title, url | Listing identity and canonical item link |
query, sourceUrl, rank, page | First source that found the listing and its saved position, not a global eBay ranking |
marketplace, marketplaceDomain, scrapedAt | Marketplace context and collection timestamp |
price, priceText, currency, originalPrice, discountPercent, couponText | Displayed asking price or current bid and available discount signals, not realized sale prices |
shippingCost, shippingText, totalPrice, freeShipping | Available shipping information. totalPrice adds known shipping, otherwise it equals the item price. It is not a tax/duty-inclusive landed cost |
condition, listingType, isAuction, isBuyItNow, bestOffer, bidCount, watcherCount, soldCount, timeLeftText, isSponsored | Signals visible on the listing card. Sold counts are not transaction history |
sellerUsername, sellerFeedbackPercent, sellerFeedbackCount, itemLocation, shipsFrom, returnPolicy, freeReturns | Available seller and fulfillment signals |
imageUrl, imageUrls | Available listing images, extended by successful detail enrichment. Completeness is not guaranteed |
itemSpecifics, brand, model, mpn, upc, ean, categoryPath, quantityAvailable, quantitySold | Optional item details when available. quantitySold reuses the card's sold count |
description, categoryId, endTime | description is at most a short description-frame label, not the full seller description. categoryId and endTime are currently always null |
detailStatus, detailError | not_requested, success, or failed, with a reason when detail enrichment fails or is skipped |
Unavailable scalar details are generally null. Image lists may be empty and boolean flags mean a signal was detected, not guaranteed coverage. Details remain empty unless requested and successfully obtained. RUN_SUMMARY in the run's key-value store records saved counts, source outcomes and partial-run errors. It is not an extra listing row.
Who is it for?
- Marketplace sellers and resellers comparing prices, shipping, and competition
- Retail and brand teams monitoring listings, discounts, and seller activity
- Sourcing teams finding inventory across countries and conditions
- Researchers and agencies building repeatable marketplace datasets
- Auction buyers tracking newly listed and ending-soon inventory
How you can use the data
- Review newly listed UK vintage cameras. Use the existing UK recipe with a small per-query cap. Keep
itemId,title, price, currency, conditionandscrapedAtin your research sheet. These are asking prices or current bids, not completed-sale prices. - Prepare an ending-soon auction shortlist. Use the US auction recipe and source ending-soon order. Review
bidCount, timeLeftTextand item links where available. TheendTimefield is currently always null, so do not treat it as a machine-readable auction deadline. - Compare filtered German listings. Keep the existing public Germany Buy It Now URL intact, then inspect condition, item price and known shipping costs.
totalPriceadds shipping only when known and does not include a guaranteed tax- or duty-inclusive landed cost. - Compare separate inventory snapshots downstream. Match
itemIdacross your own exports to review visible listing or seller changes. The Actor does not maintain history or send auction alerts, and card sold counts are not transaction-level sale history.

Provide at least one search query or start URL, with at most 50 sources in total. When both are supplied, the Actor processes both. A start URL determines its marketplace from the eBay domain. marketplace applies to keyword searches. Use inline HTTPS search/category URLs, not remote URL-list files. Keyword filters and sort do not override filters already present in start URLs. Results retain eBay's returned order. There is no additional global sorting.
Monitor newly listed products in the UK
{"searchQueries": ["vintage camera"],"marketplace": "UK","sort": "newly_listed","maxItemsPerQuery": 100}
Find auctions ending soon
{"searchQueries": ["pokemon card psa"],"marketplace": "US","listingType": "auction","sort": "ending_soonest","maxItemsPerQuery": 50}
Scrape a filtered eBay page
{"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_nkw=mechanische+tastatur&LH_BIN=1" }],"maxItemsPerQuery": 40}
Enrich product identifiers
{"searchQueries": ["Sony WH-1000XM5"],"marketplace": "US","maxItemsPerQuery": 10,"includeDetails": true}
Output data
Illustrative field shape, not a current listing or a guarantee of availability:

Download your results
Open your run's dataset, choose Export and select JSON, CSV or Excel. JSON keeps nested fields together. CSV and Excel are useful when you want to review the records in a spreadsheet.
See Apify's download and export guide for the available formats and field options.
Pricing
The start event is charged once after eBay returns the first usable results or confirmed no-results page, when the remaining event budget can cover it and a listing. Inputs that fail validation or never receive a usable source response are not charged this event.
The listing event is charged for each unique listing saved to the dataset. The detail event is charged only when detail enrichment is enabled and a detail page is successfully enriched. When the remaining event budget cannot cover enrichment and the base listing, the listing is kept without the extra lookup.
The Actor stops fetching once no further listing fits the event budget. Fatal storage or billing failures stop the run rather than continuing unaccounted extraction. Already-saved rows remain accessible.
Apify platform usage for this pay-per-event Actor is included in its event prices. See the Actor's live Pricing tab for current rates.
Tips for best results
- Start with a small listing and page cap. Inspect output completeness before increasing volume.
- Use keyword mode for consistent marketplace filters. Keep the chosen marketplace, listing type and order with each export.
- Keep tuned search URLs intact. URL filters are not overridden by keyword-mode settings.
- Enable details only for the fields you need. Inspect
detailStatusanddetailErrorwhen identifiers or item specifics are unavailable. - Review each source's outcome before comparing exports. One exhausted source does not discard rows from others.
RUN_SUMMARYrecords partial-run and per-source errors. - Save snapshots in your own system. Keep collection time and item identifiers for downstream comparisons rather than expecting built-in monitoring history.
Limits and caveats
- Only public active search/category and item pages are supported. Account, order, message, and private pages are rejected.
- Sold/completed-listing history is outside this Actor's active-marketplace scope.
- eBay may localize shipping and availability according to the request region.
- Some cards do not expose seller, return, watcher, coupon, or shipping details. Those fields are
null. - Detail pages can be more restrictive than search pages. A detail failure does not remove the base listing. Inspect
detailStatusanddetailError. - Results can change between pages while auctions and new listings are updated. Item-ID deduplication prevents duplicate dataset rows.
- Large or unusually complex pages may exceed the run's processing limits. Start with small item/page limits. A larger-memory Run option is available, but memory never increases automatically and results are not guaranteed.
- Restarting or resurrecting a run that already began extraction is rejected to avoid repeating output and charges. Start a new run when needed.
- Confirmed no matches and targets returning HTTP 404 or 410 finish with an empty dataset and a reason in
RUN_SUMMARY. Blocking, malformed responses, essential storage and billing errors are not relabeled as no matches. - This is an independent scraper, not an official eBay service.
Automation and integrations
Save your settings for next time
Once you have an input that works for you, save it as an Apify task. This keeps your settings together so you can use them again without filling in the form from scratch.
Run on a schedule
Need fresh results regularly? You can schedule the Actor or a saved task to run at a time that suits you.
Each scheduled run collects the data again. If you want to compare results or highlight changes, add that step in your own workflow.
Send results to your other tools
Use n8n, Make or Zapier to connect this scraper to the rest of your workflow. For example, you could pass its results to an AI assistant or add records to a spreadsheet. Follow the Apify integration guides for your chosen tool.
For a custom connection, an Apify webhook can notify your app when a run finishes or fails. Your app can then fetch the results or handle the failure.
API usage
Want to collect this data from your own app or automation? The examples below send input to the scraper and show how to collect its results.
The Node.js and Python examples wait for the run to finish before reading its results. The cURL example starts the run and returns its details. Wait for that run to finish, then use its defaultDatasetId to fetch the results.
For setup instructions, see Apify's JavaScript client guide, Python client guide and Actor runs API reference.

MCP and AI agents
You can ask your AI assistant to collect data with eBay Marketplace Scraper and help you work with the results. The scraper returns the data, and your assistant can then summarize it, compare records or prepare notes.
Connect your assistant through the Apify MCP server. MCP gives your assistant a way to find this scraper, run it and read the results. Follow the official setup and sign-in guide for your app.
Easier setup with an Apify plugin
If you use a supported coding assistant, the official Apify plugin can set up the connection for you. It connects your assistant to Apify and includes instructions for common tasks. Follow the guide for your particular app.
Use Apify AI in Console
Prefer to keep everything in Apify? Open Apify AI in Console and ask it to find Fetch Cat's eBay Marketplace Scraper. You can describe the data you want and ask questions about the results.
Apify AI is currently in beta. It asks for confirmation before starting an Actor, and normal run charges apply.
Choose your assistant
- Claude and Claude Code (Anthropic): Apify setup guide.
- ChatGPT and Codex (OpenAI): Apify setup guides.
- Grok Bot (xAI): Apify plugin guide.
- Gemini CLI (Google): MCP server setup guide. Use the server URL below with the HTTP configuration supported by Gemini CLI.
Connect just this scraper
To keep your setup focused on this scraper, add this server configuration to a compatible MCP client:
{"mcpServers": {"apify": {"url": "https://mcp.apify.com?tools=fetch_cat/ebay-marketplace-scraper"}}}
Sign in to Apify when your client asks. If your client uses a Bearer token instead, follow its setup guide and keep the token in its secure configuration. Configuration formats vary by app, so use the linked guide if your client needs a different format.
Use Apify's general server
Already connected to the general Apify MCP server at https://mcp.apify.com? You can use it to find this scraper without adding another server. Ask your assistant to use eBay Marketplace Scraper by Fetch Cat, or give it the identifier fetch_cat/ebay-marketplace-scraper.
Your assistant can check the available settings and retrieve the results from the returned run. If the run is still working, it should follow that run rather than start it again. Both connection options use Apify's hosted service.
Example requests
- “Use Fetch Cat’s eBay Marketplace Scraper to collect up to 5 newly listed vintage camera listings in the UK. Show item IDs, asking prices with currency, condition and source links for manual resale research.”
- “Collect at most 5 US auction listings for pokemon card psa using ending-soon order. Show current bids, bid counts and available time-left text, without inventing an end timestamp or completed-sale prices.”
- “Retrieve up to 5 listings from the filtered German Buy It Now search URL I provide. Keep item prices, known shipping costs and source links separate so I can compare them in my spreadsheet without assuming landed costs.”
Normal Apify charges apply. Check the live Pricing tab before asking your assistant to run a larger batch.
Pay with x402
If your AI agent has a funded wallet, it can pay for Apify usage through x402. This experimental option lets an agent use Apify without a conventional account.
Apify AGI provides a prepaid API token with a spending cap after payment. Your agent can use that token to run this scraper through the Apify API or an authenticated MCP connection.
Some MCP setups also support paying for each request directly. That is a different payment option, so check the official guide for its availability.
Follow the official guide for wallet setup, supported payment options and current terms. Apify handles the payments. Keep wallet keys and payment tokens in your agent's secure configuration.
Other ways for agents to pay
Apify also supports MPP for prepaid access through AGI and Skyfire for eligible Actors. If your agent already uses one of these, see the agentic payment guide to choose the right setup.
FAQ
Do I need an eBay account or API key?
No. The Actor extracts publicly visible marketplace pages.
Can I scrape multiple countries in one run?
Yes. Add start URLs from multiple supported eBay domains. Keyword queries use the single marketplace selected in marketplace. Run separate inputs when each keyword needs a different marketplace.
How are duplicate listings handled?
Rows are deduplicated by eBay item ID across all queries, URLs, and pages in the run. The first occurrence retains its query and rank context.
Why is shippingCost sometimes null?
A listing can say that shipping is not specified, calculated at checkout, unavailable to the current destination, or visible only on the item page. shippingText preserves the displayed message.
What happens if eBay serves an error page with HTTP 200?
The Actor validates response size, page markers, and listing cards before parsing. It retries malformed/block pages with a new session and fails clearly after the retry limit instead of returning a misleading successful run with zero items.
Does detail enrichment cost extra?
Yes. Each successful detail enrichment has a separate event charge. Base listing extraction is still charged once per saved listing.
