Remotive Jobs Scraper exports public remote-job listings with company names, locations, salary text, tags, publication dates and clean descriptions. Filter the active feed for hiring research, job alerts, spreadsheets or your own job board. Parsed salary fields and canonical source links help you work with the results.
The public Remotive feed is delayed and is not a complete historical archive.
Quick start
Open the input form, choose your filters and click Start. For a small first export, use:
{"search":"python","limit":10,"includeDescriptionHtml":false}
When the run finishes, open its dataset. If the current feed has no matching listings, broaden your filters.
Prefer a video guide? This short Apify walkthrough shows you how to set up and run an Actor. It uses a different Actor, but the setup steps are the same.
Ready-to-run examples
Choose an existing public example, then adjust the input to suit your search.
- Software Development Jobs — Export matching software-category roles.
- Weekly New Remote Jobs — Select recent listings using a relative age filter.
- Contract Remote Jobs — Export contract roles across categories.
What you get
- Useful job records: titles, companies, candidate locations, tags, job types and full description text.
- Salary context: original salary text plus best-effort minimum, maximum, currency and period.
- Flexible filtering: keyword, company, category, location, employment type, salary and publication dates. All selected filters use AND logic.
- Reusable identifiers: stable Remotive IDs and canonical source links for downstream comparison.
- Run summary: counts and a truthful empty-search or failure status in
RUN_SUMMARY.
Who is it for?
- Recruiting researchers reviewing public remote roles and hiring companies.
- Job-board and newsletter editors preparing attributed listing selections.
- Hiring-market analysts comparing skills, job types and disclosed compensation.
- Data and automation developers feeding structured records into their own reports or assistants.
How you can use the data
- Review a small Python remote-job sample. Use the existing python query with ten saved rows and HTML descriptions off. Keep canonical source links, company names and candidate location text before deciding which jobs fit your audience.
- Prepare an attributed Europe-focused shortlist. Use the existing Python/Europe API example with a small cap. Keyword matching spans useful text fields rather than semantic search, and all selected filters combine with AND. Display Remotive as the source and retain each listing link.
- Compare disclosed compensation carefully. Enable disclosed-salary selection only when needed and retain original salary text, parsed bounds, currency and period. A minimum salary applies in the source period rather than annualizing amounts, and seniority is a derived hint rather than employer certification.
- Track your own retained recent listings. Use the existing age or inclusive publication-date controls, then join id or URL across dated exports yourself. The feed is delayed and does not provide a complete historical archive. Change histories, job alerts, matching and downstream notifications are separate workflows.
Input settings
All filters are optional. Omitted API input returns up to 50 jobs. The form prefills search with software and limit with 10. Results retain feed order. There is no sort option.

Download your results
Open your run's dataset, choose Export and select JSON, CSV or Excel. JSON keeps nested fields together. CSV and Excel are useful when you want to review the records in a spreadsheet.
See Apify's download and export guide for the available formats and field options.
Pricing
This Actor uses pay-per-event pricing. The start event is charged once after input validation, before requesting the feed. It can apply even when the search finds no matches or a later request fails.
The result event is charged per job row saved to the dataset. Filtered or skipped listings and the run summary are not result rows. The limit setting bounds the number of saved jobs.
See the live Pricing tab for current rates and discounts. Apify platform usage may also apply according to your plan.
Tips for best results
- Start with a small limit. Review a few records before increasing your export.
- Broaden empty searches. Multiple filters are combined, so a narrow date and keyword search may have no matches.
- Compare salaries carefully. Use the original salary text and period before comparing numbers.
- Deduplicate in your workflow. Compare
idorurlacross runs to identify new listings. - Keep the source link. Preserve
sourceUrlwhen displaying or republishing data.
Limits and caveats
This Actor reads Remotive's public remote-job feed without a Remotive login. It does not retrieve private listings, applications or a historical archive. It uses direct access and does not offer proxy settings.
Remotive documents a 24-hour delay, recommends at most four feed fetches per day, and warns that excessive traffic may be blocked. Review the official API documentation and attribution requirements. Downstream displays must identify Remotive as the source and link to its listing.
Salary parsing is best effort. minimumSalary compares the parsed minimum in the listing's own period, not a converted annual amount. seniority is a title/tag-derived hint, not an employer-certified level. Optional salary and logo fields can be null.
A valid feed with no matching usable listings succeeds with an empty dataset and RUN_SUMMARY.status of EMPTY_FILTERED. Request failures, inconsistent feed responses, entirely malformed feeds and essential storage or billing errors still fail. Mixed feeds can skip isolated malformed listings. This is not a guarantee of complete coverage.
Automation and integrations
Save your settings for next time
Once you have an input that works for you, save it as an Apify task. This keeps your settings together so you can use them again without filling in the form from scratch.
Run on a schedule
Need fresh results regularly? You can schedule the Actor or a saved task to run at a time that suits you.
Each scheduled run collects the data again. If you want to compare results or highlight changes, add that step in your own workflow.
Send results to your other tools
Use n8n, Make or Zapier to connect this scraper to the rest of your workflow. For example, you could pass its results to an AI assistant or add records to a spreadsheet. Follow the Apify integration guides for your chosen tool.
For a custom connection, an Apify webhook can notify your app when a run finishes or fails. Your app can then fetch the results or handle the failure.
API usage
Want to collect this data from your own app or automation? The examples below send input to the scraper and show how to collect its results.
The Node.js and Python examples wait for the run to finish before reading its results. The cURL example starts the run and returns its details. Wait for that run to finish, then use its defaultDatasetId to fetch the results.
For setup instructions, see Apify's JavaScript client guide, Python client guide and Actor runs API reference.

curl -X POST 'https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/fetch_cat~remotive-jobs-scraper/runs?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN' \-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \-d '{"search":"python","limit":10}'
Node.js
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';const client = new ApifyClient({ token: process.env.APIFY_TOKEN });const run = await client.actor('fetch_cat/remotive-jobs-scraper').call({search: 'python',candidateLocation: 'Europe',limit: 10,});const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();console.log(items);
Python

MCP and AI agents
You can ask your AI assistant to collect data with Remotive Jobs Scraper and help you work with the results. The scraper returns the data, and your assistant can then summarize it, compare records or prepare notes.
Connect your assistant through the Apify MCP server. MCP gives your assistant a way to find this scraper, run it and read the results. Follow the official setup and sign-in guide for your app.
Easier setup with an Apify plugin
If you use a supported coding assistant, the official Apify plugin can set up the connection for you. It connects your assistant to Apify and includes instructions for common tasks. Follow the guide for your particular app.
Use Apify AI in Console
Prefer to keep everything in Apify? Open Apify AI in Console and ask it to find Fetch Cat's Remotive Jobs Scraper. You can describe the data you want and ask questions about the results.
Apify AI is currently in beta. It asks for confirmation before starting an Actor, and normal run charges apply.
Choose your assistant
- Claude and Claude Code (Anthropic): Apify setup guide.
- ChatGPT and Codex (OpenAI): Apify setup guides.
- Grok Bot (xAI): Apify plugin guide.
- Gemini CLI (Google): MCP server setup guide. Use the server URL below with the HTTP configuration supported by Gemini CLI.
Connect just this scraper
To keep your setup focused on this scraper, add this server configuration to a compatible MCP client:
{"mcpServers": {"apify": {"url": "https://mcp.apify.com?tools=fetch_cat/remotive-jobs-scraper"}}}
Sign in to Apify when your client asks. If your client uses a Bearer token instead, follow its setup guide and keep the token in its secure configuration. Configuration formats vary by app, so use the linked guide if your client needs a different format.
Use Apify's general server
Already connected to the general Apify MCP server at https://mcp.apify.com? You can use it to find this scraper without adding another server. Ask your assistant to use Remotive Jobs Scraper by Fetch Cat, or give it the identifier fetch_cat/remotive-jobs-scraper.
Your assistant can check the available settings and retrieve the results from the returned run. If the run is still working, it should follow that run rather than start it again. Both connection options use Apify's hosted service.
Example requests
- “Use Fetch Cat’s Remotive Jobs Scraper to collect up to 5 Python remote jobs accepting candidates in Europe with HTML descriptions off. Keep company names, location requirements and Remotive source links for my own shortlist.”
- “Collect up to 5 contract jobs from the current Remotive feed with HTML descriptions off. Keep original candidate-location text and listing links, without claiming a complete or immediate job-market feed.”
- “Retrieve up to 5 Remotive jobs with disclosed salaries and a maximum age of 14 days. Keep original salary text, parsed currency and period with source links, without treating all numbers as annual USD or automatically creating alerts.”
Normal Apify charges apply. Check the live Pricing tab before asking your assistant to run a larger batch.
Pay with x402
If your AI agent has a funded wallet, it can pay for Apify usage through x402. This experimental option lets an agent use Apify without a conventional account.
Apify AGI provides a prepaid API token with a spending cap after payment. Your agent can use that token to run this scraper through the Apify API or an authenticated MCP connection.
Some MCP setups also support paying for each request directly. That is a different payment option, so check the official guide for its availability.
Follow the official guide for wallet setup, supported payment options and current terms. Apify handles the payments. Keep wallet keys and payment tokens in your agent's secure configuration.
Other ways for agents to pay
Apify also supports MPP for prepaid access through AGI and Skyfire for eligible Actors. If your agent already uses one of these, see the agentic payment guide to choose the right setup.
FAQ
Why did I get zero jobs?
The current public feed may have no matches for your combined filters. Check RUN_SUMMARY and broaden the search. An EMPTY_FILTERED summary is a successful empty search, not proof that the entire job market has no matching roles.
Does keyword search include company names and tags?
Yes. Matching is case-insensitive across title, company, category, job type, location, salary, tags and description. It is a text match, not semantic search.
Can I use the Remotive API directly?
Yes. Remotive provides the public feed. This Actor adds local filters, normalized fields, exports and Apify integrations. It does not remove Remotive's source restrictions.
Are all salaries annual and in USD?
No. Check salaryCurrency, salaryPeriod and original salary. Undetectable structured values remain null.
Can I track newly published jobs?
Use maxAgeDays or inclusive publishedAfter and publishedBefore dates. Compare IDs across runs in your own workflow. This Actor does not maintain a cross-run change history.
Can I use it through an API or AI assistant?
Yes. Use the API examples or Apify's hosted MCP setup above. The Actor is public with limited permissions and pay-per-event pricing. Those settings support the documented prepaid AGI access route. Direct per-request payments have separate platform eligibility rules.
