FAQ

Does it confirm the mailbox exists? No. It validates the domain and its mail setup. Catch-all and mailbox-level checks need SMTP probing, which this actor deliberately avoids.

Which DNS is used? Cloudflare's public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver.

What does risky mean? The domain can receive mail but is disposable, a role account or has no MX record.
