Cricket Data Scraper — Fixtures, Results & Full Scorecards 🏏

foXLabs sports data: Cricket · UFC/MMA · Golf · Formula 1 · Rugby

🎉 Cricket as clean, structured data: matches across the major competitions (ICC World Cup, World Test Championship, IPL, Big Bash and more) with teams, innings scores, result and status, plus full per-player batting and bowling scorecards for any match — live or historical. No API key, no login. Built for fantasy and betting modellers, stats products and AI agents.

🔍 What is the Cricket Data Scraper — and when should you use it?

Give a date range (or specific competitions) for fixtures and results, or pass historical match IDs for full scorecards. Turn on includeScorecards to attach every batter's and bowler's card to each completed match.

Use it when you need: fixtures and results across competitions; full batting/bowling scorecards (runs, balls, strike rate, overs, wickets, economy) for current or historical matches; or a fantasy/betting dataset. Use something else when you want another sport — see the rest of the foXLabs sports family.

🤖 Use with AI agents

Already on the Apify MCP server? Ask for it by name: foxlabs/cricket-data.

Your agent can pay for its own runs — pay-per-event with agentic payments over x402 (USDC on Base) or Skyfire, with no Apify account of its own. Billing is per delivered match, never for errors or empty results.

Paste into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP assistant:

Use the Apify Actor `foxlabs/cricket-data`.
Input: `dateFrom`/`dateTo` (YYYY-MM-DD) and `leagueIds` for fixtures/results; `includeScorecards` adds full batting/bowling cards;
`matchIds` fetches full scorecards for specific historical matches; `maxResults` caps rows.
Start with: { "dateFrom": "2026-10-01", "dateTo": "2026-12-31", "includeScorecards": true }

Things you can ask your agent:

  • "Give me the IPL matches this month with each batter's runs and strike rate."
  • "Fetch the full scorecard for match 1384439."
  • "Which bowlers took three or more wickets?"

📋 Overview

Fixtures, results and innings scores come from ESPN's public, keyless cricket API. Full per-player batting and bowling cards come from ESPNcricinfo, read through the Apify Unblocker so no key or login is ever needed from you. ESPN's cricket event id is the ESPNcricinfo match id, so a match's summary and its full scorecard line up.

Why teams pick this actor:

  • 🧱 Fixtures, results and scorecards in one actor — not just scores.
  • 🧬 Full batting & bowling cards — every player's runs, balls, 4s, 6s, strike rate; every bowler's overs, maidens, wickets, economy.
  • 🕰️ Historical by match id — pull the full scorecard of any past match, not only the current season.
  • 🔑 Zero setup — no API key, no login, no proxy to buy.
  • 🤝 Agent-ready — MCP + x402, billed per delivered match.

✨ Features

  • 🏏 Fixtures & results — teams, innings scores, result, status and venue across competitions.
  • 📊 Batting cards — per batter: runs, balls, minutes, 4s, 6s, strike rate and dismissal.
  • 🎯 Bowling cards — per bowler: overs, maidens, runs, wickets, economy, dot balls.
  • 🕰️ Any match — current window by date, or any historical match by matchIds.
  • 📦 Clean export — deduplicated camelCase rows, ready for CSV/Excel/JSON.

🎬 Quick Start

curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/foxlabs~cricket-data/runs?token=YOUR_TOKEN" \

  2. Add depth — turn on includeScorecards for full batting/bowling cards on completed matches.
  3. Run and export — download the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or pull it from the API.

❓ FAQ

Do I need an API key or a login to scrape cricket data?

No. You supply only a date range or match IDs. There is no API key, login or browser to configure; fixtures come from a keyless ESPN API and scorecards are read for you through the Apify Unblocker.

What does a match row contain?

The competition and match, both teams with their innings scores, the result and status, the venue and the date. With scorecards on, an innings array adds full batting and bowling cards.

What is in a full scorecard?

For each innings: every batter's runs, balls, minutes, 4s, 6s, strike rate and dismissal, and every bowler's overs, maidens, runs, wickets, economy and dot balls — the complete card, not just the top scorers.

Can I get the scorecard of a historical match?

Yes. Pass the match IDs in matchIds and the actor returns the full scorecard for each, from any past match — not only the current season.

How do I find a match ID?

Run a date range or league first to get eventId values (ESPN's cricket event id is the same as the ESPNcricinfo match id), then pass those in matchIds, or take the number from an ESPNcricinfo match URL.

Which competitions are covered?

By default the ICC World Cup, World Test Championship, IPL and Big Bash; pass your own leagueIds for others. Scorecards work for any match that has a match id.

How current is the data?

Fixtures and results are read live each run. Scorecards reflect the match as played; a completed match returns its full final card, an in-progress match returns what has happened so far.

How is billing calculated?

Pay per result: you are charged only for matches actually returned, never for an empty run or an error. The full scorecard comes with the match, not as a separate charge.

Can I export to CSV, Excel or JSON?

Yes. Download the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel from the Apify console, or pull it from the Apify API or the dataset's .json endpoint for a model, a spreadsheet or an AI agent.

How is this different from a live-score scraper?

A live-score scraper gives the result. This actor adds the complete batting and bowling scorecard, per player, for current and historical matches — the depth fantasy and betting models need.

🐛 Troubleshooting

  • No matches found — widen dateFrom/dateTo, pass specific leagueIds, or use matchIds; cricket has off-season windows.
  • No innings on a match — scorecards appear with includeScorecards (or matchIds), and only for matches that have been played.
  • Only the first N matches have scorecards — maxScorecardMatches caps how many get the lookup; raise it for a bigger run.
