Records of Reddit posts from their addresses, ids or t3_ names: title, text, link, kind, score, upvote ratio, comment count, exact time, flair, image, gallery and video, score and comments per hour, the subreddit's size; author karma on request. Up to 10,000 links a run. No login.
0.2.2 — 2026-10-18 · same shared core as the comments Actor's 0.3.0
The shared reading layer picked up what the comments Actor needed to walk a thread's own "more comments"
loaders: the reader can now send a loader's POST with its cursor, and a comment list parsed out of such a
fragment keeps the right parent. This Actor does not read comment threads, and the two functions it does use
behave exactly as before, so its rows, its fields and its charges are unchanged. Published to keep every
Actor in the family on one core.
0.2.1 — 2026-10-17 · the address a post page answers for
Measured: /r/<subreddit>/comments/<id>/ — the short address, without the title's slug — answers with a page
that holds no post at all, while /comments/<id>/ (Reddit redirects it to the full permalink) and the full
permalink itself answer in full. The Actor now asks for the line you gave when it carries the slug, and for
/comments/<id>/ otherwise; the short form is never used.
Without this, every line came back as "Reddit did not show this post to this run" — free and retryable, but
empty. Caught on the platform before release (_QA-2026-10-17.md).
0.2.0 — 2026-10-17 · Reddit closed the JSON API: every post is read from its own page
Why: on 16 October 2026 Reddit stopped answering its JSON API for a visitor who is not signed in — the guest
token this Actor used gets HTTP 403 from oauth.reddit.com and from the .json paths, on residential addresses
and on a clean home address alike. The Actor was in maintenance from 16 to 17 October.
What stayed the same: every field name, the dataset shape, the post-details event and its price, the input
forms (address, t3_ name, bare id), the free status rows and the Standby API.
What changed, measured 2026-10-17:
/api/info answered a hundred posts in one request; a post page answers for one post (~0.5 MB), six at a time.
A 10,000-line run is therefore much slower than it was — the rows are the same.
Always null now:editedAt, spoiler, locked, archived, originalContent, removedBy,
distinguished, crosspostOf, crosspostCount, thumbnailUrl, authorPremium, a poll's options and votes.
nsfw and stickied arrive on media posts only.
includeAuthorInfo is off by default: the karma and the cake day are now read from each author's profile
page (one read per author, cached for the run). With it off a row still carries the author and the avatar.
includeSubredditInfo is free: the post's own page carries the subreddit's header (subscriber count,
display name, description). Its age, type and language are not on that page and stay null.
A page that comes back without the post on it (Reddit turning an address away) is reported as "not shown to
this run", retryable, charged nothing — never as "this post was deleted".
0.1.1 — 2026-10-12
README rewritten to the foXLabs store standard: AI-agent & Standby usage, quick-start, integration (JS/Python), use cases, FAQ, troubleshooting and support sections. No change to the Actor's code, fields, events or pricing.
0.1.0 — 2026-10-10
First release. Post records by address (subreddit, user-profile, old.reddit and redd.it forms), t3_ name or id, read with Reddit's "info by id" 100 posts a request as a visitor who is not signed in (guest token through Apify Proxy residential addresses); each batch followed by its authors' records (100 a request) and, on request, its subreddits' records (one per distinct subreddit).
Every row carries the family's full post fields: texts, numbers, exact and edit times, flags, removed or deleted state, kind, media, polls, crosspost origin, score and comments per hour, input and position.
Free status rows for lines that bring nothing (not a post, a repeated line, a post Reddit has no record of, a batch Reddit did not answer); a run Reddit does not answer fails with its reason and charges nothing.
Standby API (GET /posts) prepared; the Actor is published in batch mode.
