Give it a search term and a city and it returns one row per place: place ID, name, Google Maps URL, category, full address, latitude and longitude, phone number, website, star rating, review count, a photo, its opening hours for each day of the week, and whether the place is marked permanently closed. It returns up to 20 places per request.
Input
| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
query | string | yes | What you would type into the Google Maps search bar, for example coffee shop. |
location | string | yes | Where to search, ideally city plus state or country, for example Austin, TX. |
limit | integer | no | How many places to ask for, from 1 to 20. |
language | string | no | Two letter language code for the place details, for example en, es, de. Defaults to en. |
placeMinimumStars | string | no | Only return places rated at least this high. Places with no reviews are excluded. Leave empty for no rating floor. One of: two, twoAndHalf, three, threeAndHalf, four, fourAndHalf. |
website | string | no | Keep every place, only places that list a website, or only places without one. One of: allPlaces, withWebsite, withoutWebsite. Defaults to allPlaces. |
maxItems | integer | no | Stop after this many results. Defaults to 100. Each result is charged once. |
Output
Every result row is written to the dataset as one JSON object:
{"placeId": "ChIJG-gJw2vKRIYROWi2uwOp8QE","name": "Epoch Coffee","url": "https://www.google.com/maps/place/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x8644ca6bc309e81b:0x1f1a903bbb66839","category": "Coffee shop","address": "Epoch Coffee, 221 W N Loop Blvd, Austin, TX 78751","latitude": 30.3186037,"longitude": -97.7245402,"phone": "+15124543762","website": "http://www.epochcoffee.com/","rating": 4.5,"reviewCount": 2523,"permanentlyClosed": false,"hours": [{"day": "Wednesday","hours": "Open 24 hours"},{"day": "Thursday","hours": "Open 24 hours"},{"day": "Friday","hours": "Open 24 hours"},{"day": "Saturday","hours": "Open 24 hours"},{"day": "Sunday","hours": "Open 24 hours"},{"day": "Monday","hours": "12 AM-11:30 PM"},{"day": "Tuesday","hours": "Open 24 hours"}],"image": "https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/example-place-photo","source": "AnyAPI"}
Standby mode
This Actor also runs in Standby mode. Send the same input as a JSON body in a
POST request and it answers with { "items": [ ... ] }, the same rows a
standard run would write, charged the same way.
Pricing
This Actor is billed per result, plus one small fixed charge per run. A result event is charged for every row it writes, and the Actor Start event is charged once when the run begins. A run that finds nothing, or that comes back with an empty list, writes no rows and pays the start charge only. Both prices are on this Actor's Apify Store page.
Free Apify plans get 1,000 results a month from this Actor. The allowance resets on the first of every month (UTC), and a run that has used it up stops with a message saying so instead of writing rows. Paid Apify plans have no limit.

One shape across every platform
This Actor belongs to a set of sixteen on this account that read YouTube,
Instagram, TikTok, X, Reddit, Threads, Facebook Ads Library and Google News.
They take the same kind of input, write the same kind of row, bill the same way,
and stamp every row with "source": "AnyAPI", so a pipeline written against
one of them reads all of them without a second parser.
