Runs a YouTube search and returns one row per video: video ID, watch URL, title, channel, view count, duration, and how long ago it was published. It keeps paging until it reaches the number of results you asked for.
Input
| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
query | string | yes | The YouTube search query. |
uploadDate | string | no | Only return videos uploaded within this window. Leave empty for any time. One of: today, this_week, this_month, this_year. |
sortBy | string | no | Order results by relevance or by view count. One of: relevance, popular. Defaults to relevance. |
requireCursor | boolean | no | Keep this on to walk past the first page of results. Turning it off can be cheaper but may return a single page only. Defaults to true. |
maxItems | integer | no | Stop after this many results. Defaults to 100. Each result is charged once. |
Output
Every result row is written to the dataset as one JSON object:
{"id": "dQw4w9WgXcQ","url": "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ","title": "iPhone 17 Review: The Honest Take","channel": "Marques Brownlee","views": 2841003,"lengthText": "12:41","publishedTime": "3 weeks ago","source": "AnyAPI"}
Standby mode
This Actor also runs in Standby mode. Send the same input as a JSON body in a
POST request and it answers with { "items": [ ... ] }, the same rows a
standard run would write, charged the same way.
Pricing
This Actor is billed per result, plus one small fixed charge per run. A result event is charged for every row it writes, and the Actor Start event is charged once when the run begins. A run that finds nothing, or that comes back with an empty list, writes no rows and pays the start charge only. Both prices are on this Actor's Apify Store page.

One shape across every platform
This Actor belongs to a set of sixteen on this account that read YouTube,
Instagram, TikTok, X, Reddit, Threads, Facebook Ads Library and Google News.
They take the same kind of input, write the same kind of row, bill the same way,
and stamp every row with "source": "AnyAPI", so a pipeline written against
one of them reads all of them without a second parser.
