Give it a YouTube channel handle or channel ID and it returns one row per Short from the channel's Shorts tab: video ID, URL, title, exact view count, like count, duration, publish time, and thumbnail. Sort by newest or most popular. It pages through the channel until it reaches the number of Shorts you asked for.
Input
| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
handle | string | no | YouTube channel handle, with or without the leading @, for example @zachking. |
channelId | string | no | YouTube channel ID beginning with UC, if you would rather not use the handle. |
sort | string | no | Newest Shorts first, or most popular first. One of: latest, popular. |
maxItems | integer | no | Stop after this many results. Defaults to 100. Each result is charged once. |
Output
Every result row is written to the dataset as one JSON object:
{"id": "AMQZowA_jd8","url": "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMQZowA_jd8","title": "when that one song gets played","views": 5254864,"viewsAvailable": true,"likes": 81680,"duration": "00:00:07","createdUtc": 1789934534,"contentType": "short","image": "https://img.youtube.com/vi/AMQZowA_jd8/maxresdefault.jpg","source": "AnyAPI"}
Standby mode
This Actor also runs in Standby mode. Send the same input as a JSON body in a
POST request and it answers with { "items": [ ... ] }, the same rows a
standard run would write, charged the same way.
Pricing
This Actor is billed per result, plus one small fixed charge per run. A result event is charged for every row it writes, and the Actor Start event is charged once when the run begins. A run that finds nothing, or that comes back with an empty list, writes no rows and pays the start charge only. Both prices are on this Actor's Apify Store page.
Free Apify plans get 200 results a month from this Actor. The allowance resets on the first of every month (UTC), and a run that has used it up stops with a message saying so instead of writing rows. Paid Apify plans have no limit.

One shape across every platform
This Actor belongs to a set of sixteen on this account that read YouTube,
Instagram, TikTok, X, Reddit, Threads, Facebook Ads Library and Google News.
They take the same kind of input, write the same kind of row, bill the same way,
and stamp every row with "source": "AnyAPI", so a pipeline written against
one of them reads all of them without a second parser.
