✨ Why use this Actor

Built for anyone who needs what was said on the call, in a form they can use.

  • 📈 Equity and hedge fund analysts: pull the last four or eight calls for a watchlist of tickers and compare management language quarter over quarter.
  • 🤖 AI and LLM teams: feed a RAG pipeline clean text where prepared remarks, Q&A, speakers and analysts are already separated.
  • ✍️ Financial writers and researchers: find a sourced quote from the CFO or an analyst's exact question without reading the whole call.

What you get on every call: company, ticker, exchange, fiscal quarter, call date, the full transcript as text and as speaker turns, the prepared remarks and the Q&A as separate fields, the analysts who asked questions with their firms where the page names them, and optional question and answer pairs. Recent calls also carry labeled KPIs, forward guidance, named risk quotes, an editorial summary and an industry glossary.

⚙️ How it works

STEP 1
Choose your companies
Add tickers or company names, paste transcript links, or leave it empty for the newest calls.
STEP 2
Set the period
Optionally limit by quarter, fiscal year or publication dates, and pick how many calls per company.
STEP 3
Get structured results
One row per call, ready for a spreadsheet, a database or an AI pipeline.

Start with one or two tickers to confirm the fields match your workflow, then scale up or schedule it.

🛠️ Tips for better runs

  • Use tickers for the companies you follow. Without a date range the search covers roughly the last year and a half; set fromDate to reach further back, as far as 2018.
  • Raise transcriptsPerTicker for longer histories. Four calls is about one year of a quarterly reporter.
  • Turn on monitorMode and schedule the Actor to catch a new transcript the day it is added. Each watchlist keeps its own memory.
  • Turn off includeSpeakerTurns or includeFullText if you only need one text format and want smaller rows.
  • Key metrics, risk quotes, the summary and the glossary exist only on recent calls. Older calls return the full transcript, speakers, analysts and the Q&A split.
  • Free Apify plans are limited to a small number of transcripts per run and a few runs per day. Paid plans have no such limit.

❓ FAQ

Is it legal to extract this data? Motley Fool publishes this earnings call archive as a free, public resource, and this Actor only reads pages anyone can open. It does not log in or get around any paywall.

How far back can I search? Transcripts are available from 2018. Recent calls carry extra sections such as key metrics and a summary; older ones carry the full transcript with speakers and the Q&A split.

How do you tell prepared remarks from Q&A? Older pages mark the two sections. For recent pages the Q&A starts where the operator opens the questions, and anyone who first speaks there and is not a listed company participant is treated as an analyst. If a page gives no clear signal, the split fields are left out rather than guessed.

Can I get alerted when a company posts a new transcript? Yes. Turn on watchlist mode, name your tickers, and schedule the Actor. Each run returns only the transcripts that are new since the last one.

Found a bug or need a custom version of this Actor? Open an issue from the Actor's Issues tab and it will be looked at directly.
