Scrape tech and remote job listings from Arbeitnow, the job board most used by startups and tech companies across Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) plus the wider EU. This scraper reads Arbeitnow's own public job feed directly, so it never breaks when the website's front-end changes and never needs a login, cookie or browser session.

Why use this scraper

Arbeitnow is one of the few EU tech job boards with a genuinely open feed, but most scrapers built for it either wrap a browser (slow, fragile, expensive) or hardcode a handful of fields and stop maintaining the parser the moment the site changes its markup. Recruiters, relocation agencies and job-board aggregators end up rebuilding the same integration every few months.

This actor reads the feed the way Arbeitnow itself serves it: structured, complete, and stable. That means no CAPTCHA, no rate-limit roulette, no browser fingerprint to maintain, and a price that reflects how cheap the data actually is to fetch. You get the full job record, not a stripped-down summary, and you can filter by keyword, location, remote status or visa sponsorship before you pay for a single result.

Overview

The actor calls Arbeitnow's public jobs feed, paginates through it, and returns one row per job posting. Typical run time for the default 50 jobs is well under a minute, because there is no page rendering involved, only structured data. You choose how many jobs to pull (up to 500 per run) and how many source pages to page through, and you only pay per job actually returned, with a minimum charge of $0.05 per run.

Every job record includes the title, company name, city, job type (full-time, contract, internship, "berufserfahren" and similar German-market labels), the full tag list Arbeitnow assigns (skills, stack, function), a remote flag, a visa-sponsorship flag, the posting date, the apply URL and the full job description text. Nothing is truncated beyond a safety cap on the description field.

Supported inputs

  • Default (no filters) - pull the most recent jobs from Arbeitnow with no filtering, useful for a full daily snapshot.
  • Keyword filter - keywords matches against the job title (case-insensitive), for example "backend" or "controller".
  • Location filter - location matches against the city/country string Arbeitnow publishes, for example "Berlin" or "Germany".
  • Remote only - remote: true keeps only jobs Arbeitnow itself flags as remote-eligible.
  • Visa sponsorship only - visaSponsorship: true keeps only postings that explicitly offer visa sponsorship, which is a filter few competing scrapers expose at all.
  • Pagination control - maxPages controls how deep the crawl goes into Arbeitnow's feed (roughly 100 jobs per page), and maxJobs caps the total number of rows returned and billed.

All filters can be combined in a single run, for example remote-only backend jobs in Germany with visa sponsorship.

Use cases

  • EU/DACH tech recruiters building a daily shortlist of open roles at startups and scale-ups in Berlin, Munich, Vienna and Zurich without manually browsing the board.
  • Relocation and visa-sponsorship agencies that only want postings where a company has already committed to sponsoring a work visa, filtered directly at the source instead of screening manually.
  • Compensation and market-research teams tracking which skills and stacks (Go, Kubernetes, DATEV, SAP, and similar) are in demand across the EU tech and back-office job market.
  • Job-board and newsletter operators who republish or digest Arbeitnow listings alongside other sources and need a clean, structured feed instead of scraping HTML.
  • Applicant-tracking and CRM integrations that pull new postings on a schedule and de-duplicate against jobId to alert on new roles only.

How it works

The actor talks to the same job feed that powers the Arbeitnow website, so every result reflects exactly what is live on the site at the moment the run starts. Because the feed already returns structured fields (title, company, tags, location, description, dates), there is no HTML parsing to keep in sync with front-end redesigns, no JavaScript rendering step, and no login wall to defeat. That is also why the actor can run in well under a minute for a normal batch: it is fetching data, not rendering pages.

Filters (keywords, location, remote, visaSponsorship) are applied after the feed is fetched, matching against the same text and flags Arbeitnow publishes on the job itself, so results only include roles that genuinely meet the criteria, not ones ruled in by a fuzzy full-text match against unrelated fields.

Input configuration

Default run, no filters, first 50 jobs:

{
"maxJobs": 50,
"maxPages": 3
}

Remote backend roles with visa sponsorship:

{
"keywords": "backend",
"remote": true,
"visaSponsorship": true,
"maxJobs": 100,
"maxPages": 5
}

All jobs in a specific city, larger batch:

{
"location": "Berlin",
"maxJobs": 200,
"maxPages": 8
}

Pricing

Pay-per-result pricing, no subscription:

EventPrice
Job scraped$0.002 per job
Minimum charge per run$0.05

1,000 jobs costs $2. A default 50-job run costs $0.10 (rounded up to the $0.05 minimum only on very small runs).

What makes this richer than the competition

Most Arbeitnow scrapers on the Apify Store return a handful of fields and stop there. Compared to two of the more established alternatives:

  • solidcode/arbeitnow-scraper does not expose a visa-sponsorship filter as a first-class input, so buyers who only want sponsorship-eligible roles have to filter the full result set themselves after paying for every job.
  • ninhothedev/arbeitnow-jobs-scraper covers the same site but does not break out jobTypes as a structured array, which makes filtering by employment type harder downstream.

This actor exposes both filters (remote, visaSponsorship) plus a keyword and location filter directly at the input level, so you only pay for jobs that already match what you need, and every field Arbeitnow publishes comes through as its own typed property instead of being buried in free text.

Notes & limitations

  • Coverage is limited to what Arbeitnow itself publishes. It does not cross-post jobs from other boards.
  • description is the raw text Arbeitnow provides, which is frequently in German for roles based in Germany and Austria; the actor does not translate it.
  • Very old postings may age out of Arbeitnow's own feed and stop appearing regardless of maxPages.
  • This actor does not apply to jobs, contact employers, or store data beyond the current run's dataset.

FAQ

Does this need a login or API key for Arbeitnow? No. Arbeitnow's job feed is public, and the actor reads it directly with no authentication required.

Can I filter for remote and visa-sponsored jobs at the same time? Yes. Set both remote: true and visaSponsorship: true in the same run; results must match both.

How fresh is the data? Every run fetches live from Arbeitnow at execution time, there is no cache layer in between.

What happens if I set maxJobs higher than what matches my filters? The actor returns as many matching jobs as it finds up to maxJobs; it will not return jobs that fail your filters just to fill the count.

Can I run this on a schedule to catch new postings? Yes. Schedule the actor in Apify and de-duplicate incoming rows against jobId in your own storage to alert only on genuinely new postings.
