All notable changes to Telegram Channel Scraper are recorded here. The newest release is first.
All new options are off by default; existing inputs give the same rows as before.
- Only new posts since the last run (
onlyNewSinceLastRun, monitorStoreName): scheduled runs return and bill only posts newer than the newest one an earlier run delivered per channel (and per channel + keyword). Paging stops at the remembered post. The memory lives in a named key-value store on your account.
- Comment counts (
includeCommentsCount): commentsCount and commentsAvailable on post rows, read from Telegram's public discussion widget. Only the number is read; never the comments or their authors.
- Related channels (
includeRelatedChannels): one type: "related" row per channel listing the public channels its posts forward from or link to, with counts and the latest referencing post. Bare profile links and @mentions are not counted.
First public release.
- A channel whose description mentions "captcha" or "access denied" (common for airdrop and moderation channels) is read normally, not mistaken for an anti-bot wall.
- Reads public Telegram channels from the logged-out web preview (
t.me/s/<channel>): no account, phone number, API key or browser.
- Post rows: text (and optional formatted HTML), views, photos, videos, documents, link previews, polls, reactions, hashtags, mentions, links, forwards from public channels, replies and the edited flag.
- One channel profile row per channel with the exact subscriber count, description, photo, verified badge and media counters.
- Per-channel limit, date range (with a direct jump to
postedBefore by binary search) and keyword search inside channels with Telegram's own search. Posts found twice are returned once.
- Groups, personal accounts, bots, private invite links and channels without a public preview return one free
not_found row that says why. Only ok rows are charged.
- Privacy: no member lists, user profiles, phone numbers or post author signatures; a forward is named only when its source is a public channel.
