The salary figures from the career guides on Seek in Australia and New Zealand, and on JobStreet and JobsDB in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Thailand. For each of 2,261 roles: the typical band, the median and the range, for the country, for each state or region, and for each major city or area. No key and no login.
The unit changes with the market
Australia and New Zealand quote a typical salary per year. The five Asian markets quote it
per month. A retail sales associate is 70,000 to 80,000 AUD a year in Australia and 2,500 to
3,000 SGD a month in Singapore, and both are published as the guide states them, with
salaryPeriod and currency on every row. Nothing here converts between the two.
What a row is
One role on one market in one place. The country row is always there, and locationLevel
adds a row per state or per major area when you want them. Every row carries
locationType, so a state's figure is never added to the country's by accident, and the
market's headline band beside its own figures, so a state row shows how far it sits from
the national one.
The row also carries the guide's one-line summary, the job family, the tasks, the skills, similar roles, how many people in the role have reviewed it, and how many adverts the site counted for the role title when the page was read.
What the guide does not have
Indonesia has no career-advice pages. Some roles exist on one market and not another, and the run lists each missing page rather than writing an empty row. Where a market publishes no review count it writes minus one, which is published as null here.
Billing
Two events: a start fee charged only once a row is returned, and a per-row fee charged after each row is written. Roles the guide does not know cost nothing.
