Deeper city coverage, working rentals, and a full quality pass.
- 🐛 Fixed thin for-sale results. The scraper previously harvested only the city landing page, which exposes just a couple of search groups — a broad
buy query for Mumbai returned only ~31 listings. The actor now expands each city into its locality (-gid) and filter (-fid) search pages and harvests their search groups too. A fresh Mumbai buy run now returns 400 de-duplicated listings in ~30 s (previously 31) with 0 duplicates and 100% coverage on id, url, title, subtitle, address, priceDisplay, propertyType, sellerName/sellerType (and ~99% sellerPhone).
- 🐛 Fixed rentals returning 0 results. The
rent landing-page URL was wrong (/in/rent/real-estate-{city} 404s); it now uses the correct /in/rent/{city}. Rentals now return the city's published listings (verified in a fresh Mumbai rent run) instead of an empty dataset.
- ✨ Added embedded-listing harvesting. The actor now also reads listings embedded directly in each page's hydration state. This makes the crawl resilient when a search page is blocked and is the primary source for rentals, where the landing page carries listings but no search groups.
- 📝 Rewrote the README to the current output: accurate field reference and coverage notes, a real fresh-run output example, honest buy-vs-rent scale guidance, pagination details and an expanded FAQ.
- ✅ Verified on the Apify platform with Indian residential proxies: no value bugs (
[object Object], scheme-less URLs, price anomalies — none), stable de-duplication on the listing id.
- Initial release: scrape Housing.com property listings by city (buy or rent) with price, BHK configuration, address, seller name & phone, possession status, posting date and features. Export to JSON, CSV or Excel.
