What is Electro Depot Scraper and how does it work?

Electro Depot Scraper reads the product listings of electrodepot.fr the way the site serves them, follows every page of each listing, and returns one flat record per product. Give it a whole department such as Gros électroménager and it finds all the categories inside; give it a product page and it reads that product alone. No account, cookies or configuration are needed.

• Complete listings. Pagination is followed exactly as the site does it, including filtered pages. In our tests, every sampled listing returned exactly the number of products electrodepot.fr announces, and a full-catalogue run covered 2,850 of the 2,862 products in the site's own sitemap — the small gaps come from the site itself (two listings announce one product more than they actually serve, and 12 sitemap products belong to no listing).
• Only real discounts. originalPrice is filled only when the site actually shows a crossed-out price. Electro Dépôt keeps stale "former prices" in its data for products that are not on sale; this scraper ignores them, so you never report a fake promotion.
• French-market fields. Eco-fee (ecoParticipation), manufacturer cash-back offers (rebateAmount, with the terms PDF), French durability and repairability indexes, and the EU energy label with its scale (2021 A–G or pre-2021 A+++–D, because an old "A" is not a new "A").
• Spreadsheet-ready. Flat fields only (no lists, no nested objects), always the same columns: a daily CSV or Excel export lines up with yesterday's.

Product pages vs listings. A product URL returns that product alone, with its availability and its displayed crossed-out price, plus the technical fields (energy label, durability index, rating) when the product page itself carries them. Fields the product page does not show — such as key specs and dimensions, which only listings carry — stay null for a product scraped from its page alone. Paste both a listing and a product URL for the same product and you get one merged record, whatever the order: known product-page values take priority, missing values are filled from the listing, and listing position and provenance are retained. Explicit product pages wait for the requested listings before delivery; pages not found in those listings are delivered afterwards. A product limit can stop delivery before all those pages are delivered; the run summary identifies them.

Every field is always present (null when the site does not provide it). Results open in two ready-made views: Prices (price, crossed-out price, discount, promo, cash-back, eco-fee, rating) and Specs (energy label, indexes, key features, dimensions, category).

How do I scrape Electro Dépôt?

1. Open electrodepot.fr and copy the URL of a category (for example Télévision), a brand page, the new-arrivals page, a whole department (for example Gros électroménager) or single product pages. How many products can you scrape?

The whole catalogue. In our tests, the 53 top-level pages of the site gave 2,851 unique products in about 6 minutes, with no duplicates. A single category of 60 products takes a few seconds. Products listed in several categories are returned once.

How much will it cost to scrape Electro Dépôt?

What happens when a URL returns nothing?

Each run stores a summary under Run summary (key OUTPUT): for every URL, its page type, the products collected, the product rows actually seen, the products the site announced, and a status. Other URLs are never affected by one that fails. A listing that serves two or more products fewer than its own counter is also reported under Checks, even when every advertised pagination page was read; Electro Depot has been observed over-announcing a single product, which is the only tolerated gap.

About billing: a page that returns no product costs nothing, but the products already delivered before a URL fails or the run stops stay in the dataset and are charged as usual — they are yours to keep. If one URL of a multi-URL run fails halfway through its listing, the earlier URLs and their products are unaffected.

FAQ

Is it legal to scrape electrodepot.fr? This Actor collects publicly displayed product information (prices, specifications, ratings). It does not collect personal data and does not log in. It does not use the site search, which electrodepot.fr's robots.txt disallows. Check that your use of the data complies with the laws and terms that apply to you; if unsure, consult a lawyer.

Can I search by keyword? No. Electro Dépôt's search pages are disallowed by its robots.txt, so this scraper works from category, brand, department and product URLs instead. A department URL covers everything it contains.

Which store do prices belong to? Leave storeCode empty to collect only pages whose Electro Depot header explicitly says Choose a store. Or provide a code such as F698: the scraper verifies its city and postal code against Electro Depot's official store directory, carries the public store_code parameter on every requested page, and refuses pages that do not corroborate it. Every row contains the resulting priceContext. It never infers a national price from missing cookies. Historical tests found equal prices in three stores, but that observation is not presented as a guarantee.

Why is originalPrice empty when the site data contains a former price? Because the site does not display it. Only crossed-out prices visible to shoppers are returned.

Does it return the EAN barcode or stock levels? No. Electro Dépôt does not publish EAN codes on its pages, and its stock figure has no documented meaning, so neither is returned rather than returning something misleading.

Why are product names and specs in French? They are returned exactly as the site shows them. Translating them would change the data.
