Important: Etsy bot protection

Etsy is protected by DataDome, and access is intermittent even over residential proxies. In testing, some runs returned full results while others were blocked on every attempt.

The Actor is built to handle this predictably:

  • It rotates browser fingerprints and IPs and retries automatically.
  • maxRunSeconds caps the run so it always finishes cleanly rather than hanging — you keep whatever was collected.
  • If everything was blocked, it logs a clear warning and returns zero items rather than failing.

If a run comes back empty, simply re-run it. A residential proxy is required.
