Google News Scraper — real article URLs & news alerts

Scrape Google News by keyword or topic in any country and language and get the headline, source, publish date and the real publisher URL (decoded from Google's redirect links). Monitoring mode returns only articles you haven't seen yet, so you can schedule it as a news alert for brands, competitors, tickers or topics. No API key, no login.

Why this Google News scraper?

  • Real article URLs. Google News RSS only gives opaque news.google.com/rss/articles/... links. This Actor resolves every one to the publisher's URL (e.g. reuters.com/...), ready for article extraction, summarization or LLM pipelines.
  • Monitoring mode (onlyNew). Schedule it hourly or daily: each run returns only new stories and you pay only for those.
  • Search operators: "exact phrase", OR, -exclude, site:reuters.com, intitle:.
  • Time filters: past hour, 12 hours, day, week, month, year.
  • Headline topics: Top stories, World, Business, Technology, Science, Health, Sports, Entertainment.
  • Any edition: en-US, en-GB, es-419 + MX, pt-BR + BR, de + DE, ja + JP, hi + IN and more.
  • Story clusters: related coverage from other outlets for the same story.

Use cases

Media monitoring and PR, brand and competitor alerts, financial news for tickers, AI news feeds and newsletters, market research, dataset building for NLP.

How much does it cost?

EventPrice
Actor start$0.005 per run
news-article$0.002 per article, or $2 per 1,000

URL decoding is included. Error items are free. In monitoring mode you pay only for new articles. The free plan's $5 monthly credit covers about 2,400 articles.

FAQ

How many articles per query? Google News returns up to 100 per feed. Use more specific queries, time ranges or several editions for more.

Does it get the article text? It returns the real URL. Pair it with a content extractor if you need full text.
