Extracts current public IBPS recruitment notices from the official listing at ibps.in/recruitment and enriches selected official registration pages under the ibps.in domain.
The Actor uses direct-only public HTTPS requests. It does not accept proxy configuration, log in, submit applications, solve CAPTCHAs, bypass access controls, or expose candidate data. HTTP 401, 403, 429, or 451, or a source-authored denial/CAPTCHA/human-verification/security-challenge page, stops access to that site without retry or route changes. With no persisted rows, the platform run is SUCCEEDED and resultStatus is SKIPPED; diagnostics stay in OUTPUT/RUN_HEALTH, and unpersisted buffered records are discarded. Any eligible rows already persisted remain available as SUCCEEDED/LIMITED.
Supported input
- startUrl: optional public HTTPS IBPS recruitment listing URL; defaults to https://www.ibps.in/recruitment.
- query: optional case-insensitive term matched against organization and notification title; recruitment matches all official notices.
- maxItems: maximum complete records to emit, from 1 to 100.
- maxDetailPages: maximum official registration pages to fetch, from 1 to 100; defaults to maxItems plus a small failure buffer.
- timeoutSecs: per-page navigation timeout, from 10 to 120 seconds.
The Actor returns one record per complete public registration page. Records include organization, title, registration and application routes, posted/deadline text, important dates, sanitized description HTML/text, public reference documents, query, source, result index, and scrape timestamp. Where published and extracted, the dataset contract also accommodates notification identifiers, vacancy breakdowns, application windows/status, fee details, eligibility, qualifications, age limits, pay scales, selection/exam details, official documents, and public contact details. Missing optional facts are omitted, never inferred. Successful job records should have more than 20 distinct meaningful source facts; duplicated aliases, query/runtime context, URLs used only for provenance, and quality metadata do not count toward that threshold.
Incomplete detail pages, diagnostics, dummy records, and fixtures are excluded from the Dataset. OUTPUT.status and RUN_HEALTH.status describe the Apify process (SUCCEEDED or FAILED); resultStatus describes extraction completeness (COMPLETE, LIMITED, SKIPPED, DEFERRED, NO_DATA, or FAILED). recordsEmitted counts only awaited successful Dataset writes. Persisted rows are retained as SUCCEEDED/LIMITED after later errors; fatal zero-row errors are FAILED/FAILED; uncertain empty, tool, and transport outcomes are SUCCEEDED/DEFERRED. This Actor has no affirmative empty-results detector and does not claim NO_DATA.
You can download the dataset in various formats such as JSON, HTML, CSV, or Excel.
Local development
npm install --no-save --no-package-locknpm testnpm run test:validatornpm run lintapify validate-schema
Use a fresh, isolated local-storage folder so a validation run does not overwrite the default Actor storage:
Remove-Item Env:APIFY_IS_AT_HOME -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue$env:APIFY_LOCAL_STORAGE_DIR = 'storage-validation-ibps'apify run --input-file qa-inputs/ibps-recruitment-jobs-search-scraper/local-validation-bmc.jsonnpm run validate:dataset -- storage-validation-ibps
The QA input is intentionally bounded to one Chrome-verified public listing/detail pair. No application form is submitted.
Cloud validation
Cloud push/run is outside the scope of this validation. Keep this task local-only unless the user explicitly requests Cloud work.
Access limitations
Only ordinary direct public access is supported. If a public IBPS page presents an explicit access barrier, stop and skip the Actor for that site; do not configure a proxy or try another route to work around it. A generic browser/tool transport failure without source-authored denial is not, by itself, classified as a site block.
Disclaimer
This Actor is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by IBPS. Use the official notification as the authority for eligibility, dates, vacancies, and application instructions. The Actor only reads publicly available recruitment information and does not apply for a position or handle candidate credentials.
