Remotive Public Jobs Search Scraper

This Apify Actor extracts complete public job postings from Remotive. It uses the official public Remotive API over bounded native HTTPS requests and parses the API's published description HTML with Cheerio. It does not use a browser, proxy, fingerprint spoofing, CAPTCHA solver, or authenticated access.

Modes

• search: fetch one official API collection and locally filter by query and location.
• searchMultiple: fetch several official API URLs and deduplicate jobs by canonical URL.
• single: resolve one exact official Remotive job URL against the current public API response.
• multiple: resolve several exact official Remotive job URLs against the current public API response.
• startUrls: classify a mixed list of official API and job URLs.

The normal Remotive homepage and detail routes can present Cloudflare verification in some environments. The Actor records this limitation in diagnostics when encountered and uses only the official public API; it does not bypass the challenge or fabricate an application URL.

maxPages, maxCandidates, maxConcurrency, timeoutSecs, maxRetries, and maxRequests bound local work. includeDescription includes the source HTML plus headings, sections, bullets, and explicitly published external links. includeRaw retains the source API job object.

Dataset output

Only complete API-record-verified jobs are written to the default dataset. Records include stable job IDs, title, company/logo, category, tags, location, job type, remote status, salary when published, publication date, long description and HTML, structured description sections/bullets/links, canonical source URLs, and provenance flags. The source job URL is retained as offerUrl; no application URL is invented when Remotive does not publish one.

Run evidence is stored in the default key-value store:

• RUN_SUMMARY — mode, counts, request budget, field coverage, status, and runtime.
• RUN_DIAGNOSTICS — structured access, parsing, request, and validation diagnostics.
• RUN_METADATA — public-source transport and privacy metadata.

Deployment and traceability

This actor is inventory position 242 and reports actor version 2.1.0 in every dataset record and run summary. It uses only the official public Remotive API, with a hard request budget, response-size guard, and no proxy or authenticated access.

Local validation is the supported pre-deployment gate. A cloud release requires an authenticated organization account with the intended Actor mapping; do not substitute a personal Actor. Use apify push only after that account and mapping are available.
