Google Play Store Scraper searches Google Play by keyword or reads the app links you paste, and returns each app's installs, rating, number of ratings and reviews, price, category, last update, and the developer's email, website and address. It is a Google Play scraper for app marketers, ASO specialists, investors and sales teams who need Play Store data in a table. Use it to export Google Play app data to Excel, CSV or JSON for any country and language, with no login.

What does Google Play Store Scraper do?

You give it search terms, app links, or both. For each search term, the scraper opens the Google Play search page (the same one you see when you type in the Play Store search box), takes the apps in the order Google shows them, and then opens each app's details page. For each app link or package name, it goes straight to the details page.

It accepts these inputs, mixed freely:

Input formFieldExample
KeywordsearchTermshabit tracker
Google Play app linkappshttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music
Package nameappscom.spotify.music

Every app becomes one row with its store numbers (installs as shown, minimum installs and the exact install count, rating, rating histogram, rating and review counts), its commercial details (price, currency, in-app purchase range, ads), its category and content rating, the developer's public contact details (email, website, address, privacy policy), dates (release and last update), the "What's new" text, the full description, and image links (icon, header image and screenshots).

You choose the country and the language. Prices and availability depend on the country, and texts are requested in the language you pick. You do not need a Google account, cookies or an API key.

How to use Google Play Store Scraper

  1. Open Google Play Store Scraper in Apify Console (sign in or create a free Apify account).
  2. In Search terms, type one keyword per line, like habit tracker or budget app. Leave it empty if you only want specific apps.
  3. In Apps, paste Google Play links or package names, one per line. Leave it empty if you only want search results.
  4. Set Max apps per search (default 30), the Country (for example us, gb, br) and the Language (for example en, pt).
  5. Click Start. The log shows how many apps each search found.
  6. Open the Output tab to see the table, then click Export to download the data as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML.

Input

searchTerms has a default value. If you call the scraper from the API with only apps, send "searchTerms": [] as well, so that no default search runs next to your app list.

Example input that searches two keywords in Brazil and also reads two apps you already know:

{
"searchTerms": ["habit tracker", "budget planner"],

"https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music",
"com.duolingo"

How much does it cost?

Google Play Store Scraper uses pay per event pricing. You pay $2.00 per 1,000 apps returned ($0.002 per app) on the Free plan. Platform usage (compute and proxy) is included in that price.

Apify planPrice per 1,000 apps
Free$2.00
Bronze (10% off)$1.80
Silver (20% off)$1.60
Gold and higher (30% off)$1.40

Worked examples on the Free plan:

  • 1 keyword with the default 30 apps = $0.06
  • 50 keywords × 30 apps = 1,500 apps = $3.00
  • 10,000 apps from a package list = $20.00 ($14.00 on Gold)

What you are not charged for:

  • Error rows: lines that are not a Google Play link or package name, apps that do not exist in the chosen country, searches with no results, and pages Google Play did not answer.
  • Retries. An app that needs several tries is charged once, only when it is returned.
  • The search pages themselves. Only the app rows count.

Use cases

  • Lead generation. Build lists of app developers with their support email, website and address, then filter them by category, installs or rating.
  • App Store Optimization (ASO). See which apps rank for a keyword, in what position, and how big they are, country by country.
  • Competitor tracking. Run the same apps on a schedule and follow realInstalls, ratingCount, rating and updatedAt over time.
  • Market research. Measure a niche: how many apps, how many installs in total, how many are free, show ads or sell in-app purchases.
  • Investment and M&A scouting. Find fast-growing apps from small developers by comparing exact install counts and release dates.
  • Localization checks. Compare price, currency, availability and texts of the same app in several countries and languages.
  • Review analysis prep. Use the rating histogram to spot apps with many 1-star ratings before you dig into their reviews.

Tips and limits

  • About 30 apps per search. Google Play shows a limited list per keyword. maxResultsPerSearch accepts up to 50, but a search rarely returns more than about 30 apps. To cover a niche, use many related keywords.
  • No review texts. The scraper returns rating and review counts and the histogram, not the text of individual reviews.
  • One row per app per search. If the same app comes up in two searches, or in a search and your apps list, it is scraped and charged once per appearance. Check appId if you need unique apps.
  • Country matters. An app that is not available in the chosen country returns the error "App not found in Google Play (XX)". Try another country.
  • Package names need a dot. A plain word like spotify is not a package name and returns an error row. Use com.spotify.music or the full link.
  • Contact fields can be empty. developerWebsite, developerEmail and developerAddress come from what the developer published. Some apps show no address or website.
  • Retries. Each page gets up to 5 tries with a 40-second timeout. If Google Play still does not answer, you get an error row with "Google Play did not answer" and can run those apps again.
  • Speed. App pages are fetched 5 at a time.

Use it from the API, Python or JavaScript

JavaScript (Node.js) with the official apify-client package:

const { ApifyClient } = require('apify-client');
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'YOUR_TOKEN' });
const input = { searchTerms: ['habit tracker'], maxResultsPerSearch: 30, country: 'us', language: 'en' };
(async () => {
const run = await client.actor('juliob.rangel/google-play-scraper-fast').call(input);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
console.log(items);
})();

Python with the official apify-client package:

from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient('YOUR_TOKEN')
run_input = {'searchTerms': [], 'apps': ['com.spotify.music', 'com.duolingo'], 'country': 'us'}
run = client.actor('juliob.rangel/google-play-scraper-fast').call(run_input=run_input)
items = client.dataset(run['defaultDatasetId']).list_items().items
for item in items:
print(item.get('name'), item.get('realInstalls'), item.get('developerEmail'))

The scraper also works with Make, Zapier and n8n, can export results to Google Sheets, can call your webhook when a run finishes, and can be used by AI agents through the Apify MCP server.

FAQ

Do I need a Google account, cookies or an API key?

No. The scraper reads public Google Play pages without logging in. You only need an Apify account to run it.

Can I export Google Play data to Excel or CSV?

Yes. After the run, open the Output tab and export the dataset as Excel, CSV, JSON or HTML, or read it through the API.

How many apps can I get?

For searches, up to maxResultsPerSearch per keyword, and Google Play usually shows about 30. For the apps list there is no fixed cap: every valid line returns one row.

Does it give the exact number of installs?

Yes, when Google Play has it. installs is the bracket shown in the store (like 5,000,000+), minInstalls is that bracket as a number, and realInstalls is the exact count.

The scraper only collects publicly available data. You are responsible for complying with Google Play's terms and with privacy laws such as GDPR and LGPD. Developer contact details can be personal data when the developer is an individual, so you need a legitimate reason to collect and use them.

Why did I get a row with an error field?

The line was not a Google Play link or package name, the app does not exist in the chosen country, the search returned no apps, or Google Play did not answer after 5 tries. Error rows are not charged.

Can I get apps from another country or in another language?

Yes. Set country (like br or de) and language (like pt or de). The country and language fields in each row show what was used.
