Hi, thanks for opening this issue!
Unfortunately, this is a limitation of the Excel sheets format and our platform. Excel itself has some maximum column limit, which is more than our platform, but it still is there. We have a unified formatter for the XLSX and the CSV file format, which has the 2000 rows limit.
This is mentioned by the warning message which you see below: The number of columns in the dataset is over the limit of 2000. Some columns might be excluded for Excel format. To include all columns, select JSON or XML or RSS format instead.
If you only care about some specific fields, then you can select those. Otherwise, use one of the other more scalable and dynamic file formats, preferably JSON.
I hope this helps, thanks and happy scraping!

Hi, it won't let me select the specific fields.

Eh, it sure should let you? Are sure you're on the export results
page as you were in the screenshot? I can see the Selected Fields
option there. Can you link me some screen recording or further info if that still doesn't work? Thanks!

I see, thanks for proving the recording, two things:
- You can type the specific fields in, e.g.,
product/title
to get the nested field of the product's title. - However… it seems like this is currently bugged. I'm unable to actually get this data back in the exported dataset. This seems to be a problem of the platform, so I'm reporting it there. The bug only seems to be happening for nested fields though.
In the meantime, you can try unwinding these nested fields via some utility Actors in the meantime, from which you will be able to select them back again as top level fields. You can use the Merge, Dedup & Transform Datasets Actor for that. You can easily transform the dataset via the postDedupTransformFunction
input function.
I will keep you updated about the platform export bug. I hope this helps for the meantime, thanks!

Hi Lukas,
I am not familiar with how to do what you're asking me to do .
Can you please re-fund me for this run since the platform is not working?

I meant that you can type in the fields directly into the Selected fields
field, and select them via their name. But as I mentioned and reported to the platform team, this is currently bugged for nested fields, so it doesn't even work...
You can still export the data via some other tools by simply converting it from the JSON one (which is more scalable and extendable anyway) to your desired one.
Still, I understand the problem, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I've refunded $20 in extra prepaid platform usage, so you won't have to pay any overage for the additional $20.
Thanks!

Thanks, I don't think the credit applied

I can see the credits under your profile. Just as mentioned, the credits are in extra prepaid platform usage, so you won't have to pay any overage for the additional $20.
Thanks!
