Lists question
Closed
Hello!
We have 15 lists that we're monitoring for real-time updates. Does this charge us mock tweets for every list? Would we save money by combining the lists, or does it charge us the same regardless?
Right now we are paying about $20/day, which seems a bit expensive as we aren't scraping that many tweets, and trying to understand where these costs might be coming from.
thanks! Jay

Hi, sorry. The lists cannot be merged. You can only obtain them separately. And you can reduce the frequency of your requests to ensure that you can definitely get the data. For example, you used to call our API once an hour and the time parameter you passed each time was for the past hour. Now, you can change it to call our API once every half day. In this way, it will reduce the number of your calls and the money you spend.
Best regards.

Also, if we merge some of our lists that don't update frequently, would that reduce our costs? i.e. let's say we have 10 lists that don't produce many tweets, if we merged it into 1 giant list, would that reduce our costs for these by up to 10x, or would it still be the same?

You also need to modify these lists on Twitter by yourself to create some new lists, provided that these lists are under your control.
