App Store App Metadata — Prices, Versions & Ratings

Export a known list of iOS/iPadOS apps across App Store storefronts. Each result contains the upfront price and currency, current version, rating and rating count, minimum OS version, genre IDs, language codes and original App Store URL.

Use this for app catalog research, country price comparisons and version checks. You provide the apps; this actor does not discover apps, track keyword rankings, extract reviews or collect developer contacts.

This requests Calm and Procreate in the US and UK: at most four paid records. IDs and https://apps.apple.com/.../id123 URLs are accepted. Duplicates are removed. Supported storefronts: us, gb, sg, ca, au, de, fr, jp, in, br, es, it, nl, se, no, dk, fi, kr, nz, mx.

Price and limits

$0.001 per returned app-country pair ($1/1,000), plus the configured $0.00005 platform start event. Four returned pairs cost $0.00405. Missing apps, invalid entries and status rows have no work-event charge. Upfront app price excludes subscriptions and in-app purchases: a returned price of zero does not mean all app features are free.

Limit a request with maxResults (1–200, default100) and the Console's maximum-charge setting. Input limits are 100 app entries, 10 countries and 200 unique app-country pairs. Requests use batches, conservative pacing and a fixed source-request cap; larger or repeatedly missing inputs can finish with partial results. Once the budget is exhausted, no additional paid records are delivered.

Reading the output

The default dataset contains only returned app metadata. recordId is country/appId; use it for joins. Check the separate free Status dataset and OUTPUT.complete, even when the run succeeds. Status distinguishes invalid input, an incomplete source record, a source failure, an app not returned after batch and individual lookup, and a budget or request limit.

Ratings and prices are storefront-specific values as served by Apple's cached API at fetchedAt. Do not sum ratings across countries. Null means unavailable; zero remains zero. Language codes do not distinguish every script. versionReleasedAt is the current version's source timestamp, not a complete version history. The actor supports source records of kind software (iOS/iPadOS); Mac-only and other media records are not billed.

A missing result does not establish why an app is absent or whether it is legally or technically unavailable in that country. A missing health-check record is reported as source uncertainty instead of classifying the whole batch as missing.

API and automation

Run kaz_kakyo/app-store-metadata through the Apify API, CLI, MCP or your automation platform with the JSON above. Export the dataset as JSON or CSV. Scheduling produces fresh snapshots; the same found app-country pair is charged again on a new run. This actor has no persistent change-only monitor.

Pseudonymous operational telemetry records actor and run IDs, run origin, timestamps, paying-plan status, a stable hashed caller identifier, and cumulative confirmed event counts. These identifiers are linkable, not anonymous. The telemetry dataset restricts unauthenticated access. Input and result content is not sent. For interrupted paid delivery, resurrect the same run so its pending records can be recovered without a second charge.

New source work has an internal three-minute budget with time reserved to save output; a larger platform timeout does not extend it. Keep run storage intact when resurrecting. Invalid saved limits stop new work after pending paid records have been recovered.
