New Business Leads: Sonoma County, CA Fictitious Business Name Filings
Every new DBA registered in Sonoma County, from painters, cleaners and landscapers to wineries, consultants and shops. Each lead has the owner's name and address. About 1¢ a lead.
Every business operating under an assumed name in California must file a Fictitious Business Name (FBN) statement with the County Clerk. This Actor reads the Sonoma County Clerk-Recorder's official FBN open data and returns new filings only, about 100 a month. Renewals are excluded: California files renewals as fresh statements, so the Actor drops any filing whose business started more than a year earlier. Each lead includes the business name(s), registrant (owner) name, entity type, business address, mailing and registrant addresses, start date and filing date.

FAQ
Where does the data come from? The "Fictitious Business Names" dataset on data.sonomacounty.ca.gov, published by the County of Sonoma. Why are the newest filings a few weeks old? The county publishes in batches. Use a 30–45 day window for the first run, then let the daily schedule pick up each new batch. Does it include phone or email? FBN statements don't collect them. You get the owner's name and address, which most enrichment tools can match.
