X (Twitter) Profile & Tweets Scraper β€” scrape tweets and profile data without logging in

X (Twitter) Profile & Tweets Scraper

This X scraper turns public X (Twitter) profiles into structured data. Give it a list of usernames or profile URLs and this Twitter scraper returns the profile (followers, following, bio, location, website, verification) and the account's latest tweets with text, timestamps, engagement counts, view counts, links, hashtags and media. People use it to monitor brand accounts, track competitors, build influencer lists, and feed social-listening dashboards and AI agents.

Give it nasa or https://x.com/nasa and get back the profile plus the last N tweets as JSON, CSV or Excel. No X account, cookies or API key is needed: the Actor reads what X shows any logged-out visitor.

πŸš€ Key Features

  • πŸ”Ž Usernames or profile URLs β€” nasa, @nasa, https://x.com/nasa and https://twitter.com/nasa?ref=... all work, in bulk
  • 🧾 Full profile per account β€” name, handle, bio, location, website, follower and following counts, tweet count, verification, avatar and banner
  • πŸ’¬ Tweet data β€” text, timestamp, likes, retweets, replies, quotes, bookmarks, views, language, links, hashtags, photos and videos
  • πŸ” Retweets and quotes carried along β€” every retweet or quote tweet includes the original tweet and its author
  • πŸ“‘ Per-account limit β€” count caps tweets per account, with pagination handled for you
  • πŸ›‘οΈ No login needed β€” works in guest mode; proxy optional but recommended for large batches
  • πŸ“€ Multiple export formats β€” JSON, CSV, Excel, XML via the Apify dataset
  • πŸ” Schedulable runs β€” refresh a watchlist of accounts hourly or daily

πŸ‘₯ Who Is This Actor For?

  • πŸ“£ Marketing and social media teams β€” track brand, competitor and campaign accounts
  • 🧠 Analysts and researchers β€” collect tweet text and engagement for studies and dashboards
  • 🀝 Sales and partnerships β€” build influencer and prospect lists with follower counts and bios
  • πŸ“° Journalists and monitoring services β€” archive what public accounts publish
  • πŸ€– AI builders β€” ground agents and RAG pipelines in an account's recent posts

πŸ’‘ Common Use Cases

  • Scrape tweets from a list of competitor accounts every morning into Google Sheets
  • Pull follower counts and bios for 500 handles to qualify influencers
  • Monitor a brand's account for new posts and trigger alerts through a webhook
  • Collect view and engagement counts to benchmark content performance
  • Archive an organisation's public timeline for compliance or research

πŸ“₯ Input

FieldTypeDescriptionDefault
usernamesArrayAccounts to scrape: a username (with or without @) or a profile URL on x.com or twitter.com.Required
countIntegerMaximum number of tweets to return per account (0 returns the profile only). X shows logged-out visitors a limited timeline, so quiet accounts can return fewer.20
includeRepliesBooleanKeep the account's replies within its own threads. Replies to other accounts are not visible without logging in.false
includeRetweetsBooleanKeep retweets. Each retweet also carries the original tweet.true
batchSizeIntegerAccounts processed per batch (log grouping only).10
delayBetweenRequestsNumberPause in seconds between accounts to stay under X's guest rate limits.1.0

❓ FAQ

What is the X (Twitter) Profile & Tweets Scraper?

It is a Twitter profile scraper and tweet scraper in one: for each username or profile URL it returns the public profile and the account's latest tweets as structured data. It is built for people who want to scrape tweets without an X developer account.

Do I need an account, cookies or an API key?

No. The Actor reads what X shows a logged-out visitor, so there is nothing to log in with and no account of yours at risk.

Do I need a proxy?

The default uses Apify residential proxies, which is what we recommend for anything beyond a handful of accounts. X rate limits guest traffic per IP; when that happens the Actor switches to a fresh proxy and retries automatically.

How many tweets can I get per account?

count sets the limit per account, up to 100. X decides how much of a timeline a logged-out visitor can see: active accounts return recent tweets across several pages, while accounts that post rarely may return only their last few posts. Replies to other people and protected accounts are not visible in guest mode; a protected account returns its profile only.

Does it handle pagination automatically?

Yes. The Actor keeps loading older tweets until it reaches count or X stops serving more.

Why did an account come back with no tweets?

Either it has no public tweets, it is protected, or X showed nothing to guests for it. The profile item is still saved, and any account that produced no result at all is listed with the reason under ERRORS in the run's key-value store.

Can I schedule it or integrate it with my app?

Yes β€” every Apify Actor exposes a REST API, webhooks, and integrations with Zapier, Make, Google Sheets and Slack, and can be called from an AI agent via the Apify MCP server.

This Actor accesses only publicly available pages. You are responsible for making sure your use complies with X's terms of service and the laws in your jurisdiction.

What if the site changes and the Actor breaks?

Open an issue on the Actor's Issues tab. X changes its site regularly and the Actor is updated when it does.
