📦 Source links, video details, and stream options

The dataset contains one row for each video found from the submitted URLs or search term. Each row includes a source-hosted downloadUrl, the public Dailymotion page, video identity, uploader details, thumbnail, duration, the selected quality, and available stream variants.

Source-hosted links are returned by Dailymotion. Their availability is controlled by the source, so use important links in your workflow soon after the run.

Run steps

1. Choose Video URLs and add one or more public Dailymotion video URLs, or choose Video search and enter one search term.
2. Optionally choose a preferred video quality.
3. For Video search, set Maximum videos if you want a work limit. Leave it empty to return all available results until the source is exhausted.
4. Start the Actor and open the dataset output for video rows.

One target per run

Choose one value for target in each run. Fields for the other target are ignored. Search uses one term at a time.

preferredQuality	string	Quality preference for the returned video links. Suggested values include best, 144p, 240p, 380p, 480p, 720p, and 1080p. If the choice is not available, another available quality is used.

What if my preferred quality is not available?

Quality is a preference. The Actor uses another available quality when your choice is not available. The selectedQuality field shows the quality used for downloadUrl.

Can I process several Dailymotion video URLs in one run?

Yes. Add one or more public video URLs. The Actor processes the submitted list subject to source availability and run capacity.

Can I use Video URLs and Video search together?

No. Choose one target value for each run. The field for the other choice is ignored, and Video search uses one search term.

What happens when a video URL is not found?

The errors output links to a JSON report with the missing URL, its status, and its error message.

Does the Actor create or store media files?

No. It returns source-hosted media links. It does not create, transcode, store, or mirror MP4 or other media copies.

Can it process private or login-only videos?

No. It works with publicly reachable videos without login state. It does not bypass private, geo-restricted, or access-controlled videos.

Do I need a Dailymotion login?

No login state is needed for publicly reachable videos.
