Scrape the Google Play Store — search results, full app listings, top charts, whole developer catalogues, user reviews, permissions, and data-safety declarations. No API key, no login.

What does Google Play Store Scraper do?

This Actor reads app data from Google Play and returns it as structured data. For each app you get the title, developer, rating and its full star breakdown, install counts, price, category, content rating, release and update dates, screenshots, and the complete description.

Five modes cover the usual jobs:

  • Search — find apps by keyword, exactly as a shopper would.
  • App details — look up exact package names such as com.spotify.music.
  • Top charts — the ranked Top free, Top paid, and Top grossing charts, optionally per category.
  • Developer apps — everything one publisher has released.
  • Similar apps — Play's own "similar apps" recommendations, for competitor mapping.

Why use Google Play Store Scraper?

  • App store optimisation — track how your app and your rivals rank for the keywords that matter.
  • Competitor monitoring — watch ratings, install counts, pricing, and release cadence over time.
  • Review mining — pull thousands of reviews to find what users complain about and ask for.
  • Market research — chart a whole category, or a publisher's entire catalogue, in one run.
  • Compliance and privacy audits — collect permissions and data-safety declarations at scale.

Running it on Apify adds scheduling, an API, integrations (Sheets, Slack, Zapier, S3), and run monitoring.

How to use Google Play Store Scraper

  1. Pick What to scrape — start with Search.
  2. Enter your Search terms (or App IDs, or a developer, depending on the mode).
  3. Set Country and Language — charts, prices, and availability differ by country.
  4. Turn on any Extras you want: reviews, permissions, data safety, similar apps.
  5. Click Start.

Results appear in the Output tab as they are scraped, and download as JSON, CSV, Excel, or XML.

How much does it cost to scrape Google Play?

Cost tracks the number of apps you scrape. Reviews are the expensive part — asking for thousands per app costs far more than the app listing itself, so set Max reviews per app to what you actually need.

Tips

  • Turn off fullDetails when you only need chart positions. It makes a run noticeably cheaper and faster.
  • Country matters more than you think. Charts, prices, and even availability differ per country — run the same search across several to compare markets.
  • Track over time. Schedule the same input daily and the dataset becomes a ranking and rating history.
  • Very large review requests stop early. Google limits how far back reviews can be read, so asking for tens of thousands will return fewer than you asked for.

FAQ and support

Does it need a Google account or API key? No. It reads only publicly visible store pages.

Why did an app ID return nothing? The package may not exist in that country, or the ID may be wrong — it is the id= parameter in the store URL. Bad IDs are logged and skipped rather than failing the run.

Is scraping Google Play legal? This Actor collects publicly available store data. Reviews contain user names that are already public; if you store them, handle them in line with GDPR and similar laws. You are responsible for how you use the data, including compliance with Google's terms.
