Collects Bankrate's published national average rates from a Bankrate hub page (default the mortgages hub) and returns one row per product — for example 30-year fixed, 15-year fixed, 30-year FHA and 30-year VA — with the rate, the day-over-day change and the "Rates as of" date.
Input
| Field | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
page_url | https://www.bankrate.com/mortgages/ | Bankrate hub page that carries a national-average rate widget. |
warm_session | true | Load the Bankrate homepage first for a smoother session. Recommended. |
limit | 50 | Maximum number of rate rows to return (1–200). |
| Proxy configuration | US proxy on | Optional. Enable a US-based proxy for the most reliable results. |
Output
Each rate row is returned as one record. Example:
{"product": "30-year fixed","rate": "6.69%","rate_change": "0.07%","rate_change_direction": "down","category": "National average mortgage rates","as_of": "August 13, 2026","source_url": "https://www.bankrate.com/mortgages/","scraped_at": "2026-08-17","raw": { ... }}
Notes
- Runs with empty input (defaults to the mortgages hub page).
- Enable a US-based proxy for the most reliable results.
- Data reflects Bankrate's published national averages — please review Bankrate's Terms of Use before redistributing.
