CityBikes Scraper
Pulls live bike-share station availability for any city network through the public CityBikes API, which aggregates roughly 700 systems worldwide. No login, no proxy, no browser.
Input
| Field | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
networkId | string | Required. CityBikes network id, e.g. velib, citi-bike-nyc, bicing. Default velib. |
maxStations | integer | Cap on stations returned. Default 50. |
Output
One row per station, each carrying its network identity: networkId,
networkName, city, country, company, stationId, stationName,
latitude, longitude, freeBikes, emptySlots, ebikes, renting,
returning, reportedAt.
Notes
- Availability is a live snapshot. A station showing
freeBikes: 0is a real observation, not a gap, which is why zero is preserved rather than nulled. - Network ids are slugs, not city names —
velibrather thanParis. The full list of ids lives athttps://api.citybik.es/v2/networks. ebikes, rentingandreturningcome from anextrablock that each operator populates differently, so they are legitimatelynullon many networks.
