Get UK company financials from Companies House accounts as clean JSON. One row per set of accounts, with the prior year, parsed from the iXBRL documents that companies file at Companies House.
No API key is needed. The actor reads the official Companies House Accounts Data Product, a free daily bulk file that holds every set of accounts filed electronically on that day. That is about 7,000 to 15,000 accounts a day, roughly 75% of all UK accounts.
Use cases
- Look up equity, net assets, total assets and cash for UK companies by company number.
- Build lead lists of newly filed accounts, filtered by size, employees and accounts type.
- Fill a database or data warehouse with daily Companies House financial statements.
- Feed parsed UK company accounts to credit checks, due diligence or AI agents.
Two modes
- Latest filings (
latestFilings) reads the newest daily files. Use it to build lead lists by size, to watch new filings on a schedule, or to fill a database. Filter by equity, total assets, employees and accounts type. - Company lookup (
companyLookup) takes a list of company numbers and reads the newest electronic accounts of each from the public Companies House filing history.

netCurrentAssets, totalAssetsLessCurrentLiabilities, netAssets | Balance sheet subtotals |
equity | Total equity. Falls back to net assets when equity is not tagged (equityFromNetAssets is true) |
totalAssets | Total assets. Most small companies do not tag it, so the actor adds fixed and current assets (totalAssetsComputed is true) |
equityRatio | equity / totalAssets, computed by the actor |
turnoverPriorYear, profitLossPriorYear, equityPriorYear, netAssetsPriorYear, averageEmployeesPriorYear, priorYearEnd | Comparative figures from the same accounts |

parseError | Why a row has no figures, else null |
Figures are in whole currency units. A figure is null when the accounts do not contain it. The output has no person names: the actor skips director and signatory facts.
Why turnover is often empty
Most UK companies are small or micro entities. The law lets them file a balance sheet only, without a profit and loss account. In a daily file of 14,714 accounts on 2026-10-20, 12,224 were not dormant. Of those, equity was present in 99%, total assets in 91%, average employees in 100%, and turnover in only 1%. Among companies with 50 or more employees, turnover was present in 23% and profit in 42%. Set requireTurnover to keep only accounts with turnover.
