How do I search apartments, jobs or another section?

Pick it under Section. To narrow it further, put a three-letter Craigslist category code in Category Code — it is the code in any Craigslist search URL, e.g. apa (apartments), sof (software jobs), sya (computers), fua (furniture).

Can I search cars with make, year and mileage filters?

What can I put in Locations?

A Craigslist site name — the part before .craigslist.org, such as newyork, sfbay, losangeles or chicago — a ZIP or postal code (94103), or latitude,longitude (40.7128,-74.0060). ZIP codes and coordinates search a radius you set with Radius. Craigslist has 700+ sites in 79 countries, and every one works.

How many listings can one search return?

Up to 10,000 — Craigslist's own limit per search. Split a bigger search by location, price range or keyword.

Why are some rows marked is_nearby_result?

When a location has few matches, Craigslist adds listings from neighbouring sites. Those rows carry is_nearby_result: true so you can keep or drop them.

Are duplicates billed?

No. A listing is pushed and billed once per run, even when two searches find it.

Can I get the seller's phone or email?

No. Craigslist releases contact details only through its reply button, which is protected by a captcha. has_contact_info tells you a listing has them; phone numbers typed into the description are part of description.
