China Supplier Finder — Alibaba & Made-in-China

Find and compare suppliers from Alibaba and Made-in-China in one search.

Enter a product keyword or upload a product image. The Actor searches both marketplaces and returns one clean supplier dataset with products, displayed prices, minimum order quantities, company details, marketplace trust badges, and original source links.

Stop repeating the same search on two websites and copying results into a spreadsheet by hand.

What you can do

  • Search Alibaba and Made-in-China with the same product keywords.
  • Find visually similar products from uploaded images or public image URLs.
  • Compare suppliers, prices, MOQs, locations, company types, and marketplace badges.
  • Keep one row per supplier on each marketplace instead of receiving a pile of duplicate listings.
  • See every matched product retained under the supplier that offers it.
  • Spot supplier names that may appear on both marketplaces.
  • Export the comparison to CSV, JSON, Excel, XML, or your preferred Apify integration.
  • Run sourcing searches from AI clients through Apify MCP.

Who it is for

Importers and sourcing agents

Build a supplier shortlist across two major Chinese B2B marketplaces without repeating the research manually.

Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, and private-label sellers

Start with a product idea or competitor image and find possible suppliers, prices, and MOQs for margin research.

Procurement teams

Compare marketplace coverage, company information, visible trust signals, and source profiles before requesting quotes or samples.

Product researchers and agencies

Create organized, export-ready sourcing results for several products or clients from one workflow.

AI and automation users

Use the Apify API, schedules, webhooks, Make, Zapier, or MCP to add two-marketplace supplier research to a larger workflow.

How it works

  1. Choose Keyword search or Image search.
  2. Enter the product once and select the supplier limit.
  3. Receive Alibaba and Made-in-China suppliers in one standardized dataset.

Both marketplaces are enabled by default. They run at the same time, so the combined run normally finishes close to the duration of the slower marketplace rather than adding both durations together.

What you receive

Each result clearly identifies its source marketplace and preserves its original product and supplier links.

DataExamples
MarketplaceAlibaba or Made-in-China

Made-in-China signalsAudited Supplier, Leading Factory, membership, and public profile details
Possible duplicateConservative flag when the same normalized supplier name appears on both marketplaces

Marketplace badges are reported exactly as marketplace signals. They are not an independent endorsement by this Actor.

Quick start

Search by keyword

In Apify Console:

  1. Select Keyword search.
  2. Add a specific product phrase, such as stainless steel glass shower hinge.
  3. Leave both marketplaces enabled.
  4. Start with 10 suppliers per marketplace and one page per keyword.
  5. Run the Actor and open Supplier comparison in the Output tab.

Example input:

{
"searchMode": "keyword",
"searchTerms": [
"stainless steel glass shower hinge"
],
"searchAlibaba": true,
"searchMadeInChina": true,
"maxSuppliersPerMarketplace": 10,
"maxPagesPerKeyword": 1,
"useApifyProxy": true,
"includeMadeInChinaSupplierDetails": true,
"saveCsvFile": true
}

With both marketplaces enabled, 10 suppliers per marketplace can return up to 20 rows for each keyword: up to 10 from Alibaba and up to 10 from Made-in-China.

Search by product image

Upload a clear image through Apify Console or provide a direct public image URL through the API or MCP.

{
"searchMode": "image",
"imageUrls": [
"https://example.com/product.jpg"
],
"searchAlibaba": true,
"searchMadeInChina": true,
"maxSuppliersPerMarketplace": 10,
"maxPagesPerImage": 1,
"useApifyProxy": true,
"skipFailedImages": true
}

Clear, tightly cropped product images normally work better than collages, blurry screenshots, lifestyle photos, or images covered by large text.

Understanding the comparison

The Actor returns separate Alibaba and Made-in-China rows so you can compare the marketplace listings without losing source-specific information.

When the same normalized company name appears on both sites, both rows receive:

  • possible_same_supplier: true
  • the same duplicate_group_id
  • the other marketplace in also_found_on

This is a review aid, not proof that two profiles represent the same legal company. The Actor deliberately keeps the rows separate and preserves both profile links for verification.

CSV and other exports

The structured Apify dataset is always available and can be downloaded as CSV, JSON, Excel, XML, RSS, or JSONL.

Save combined CSV file is enabled by default. The named CSV file and RUN_SUMMARY.json are stored in the run's key-value store.

RUN_SUMMARY.json includes:

  • each source marketplace
  • source Actor ID
  • source run and dataset IDs
  • run status and result count
  • partial-result status
  • error details when a source fails

Reliable partial results

Alibaba and Made-in-China can independently show traffic challenges or temporary errors. By default, the Actor keeps successful results from one marketplace when the other fails.

Enable Strict failure mode when your automation should fail if either selected marketplace fails or the final dataset is empty.

Runtime and cost

This Actor starts separate runs of:

  • jzgautomation/alibaba-product-and-vender-finder
  • jzgautomation/made-in-china-supplier-finder

Each source run has its own Actor, compute, and proxy charges. The combined Actor's displayed run cost is therefore not the only cost involved. Start with one keyword or image, one page, and a small supplier limit before scaling.

The combined Actor gives each source run a preset maximum-charge ceiling of $5. This satisfies the source Actors' minimum accepted run limit without requiring users to edit Run options. It is a spending ceiling, not a fixed fee or automatic $5 charge.

Image batches and Made-in-China supplier-profile enrichment can take longer. Use Apify's native Timeout setting under Run options, or enable No timeout for larger batches.

Use with AI through Apify MCP

Connect your compatible AI client to:

https://mcp.apify.com/

For a connection limited to this Actor, use:

https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=jzgautomation/alibaba-made-in-china-supplier-comparison

Then try:

Search Alibaba and Made-in-China for “stainless steel glass shower hinge.” Find up to 10 suppliers from each marketplace. Compare displayed prices, MOQs, locations, company types, and marketplace trust badges. Preserve every supplier and product link, and do not treat similarly named companies as identical without checking both profiles.

For an image search:

Run China Supplier Finder with this public product image URL: https://example.com/product.jpg. Group the results by marketplace, identify possible cross-market supplier duplicates, and return the original source links.

API example

from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_APIFY_API_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("jzgautomation/alibaba-made-in-china-supplier-comparison").call(
run_input={
"searchMode": "keyword",
"searchTerms": ["portable blender USB rechargeable"],
"maxSuppliersPerMarketplace": 10,
"maxPagesPerKeyword": 1,
"useApifyProxy": True,
}
)
for supplier in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
print(supplier)

Frequently asked questions

Does it really search both websites?

Yes. With both marketplace toggles enabled, the same keyword or image input is sent to the Alibaba and Made-in-China supplier Actors.

Can I search only one marketplace?

Yes. Disable either Search Alibaba or Search Made-in-China. Keep the individual marketplace Actor when you consistently need only one source; this combined Actor is most useful for side-by-side research.

Does a limit of 10 mean 10 suppliers total?

No. It means up to 10 suppliers from each enabled marketplace for each keyword or image.

Does it automatically choose the best supplier?

No. It returns evidence for comparison and preserves source links. Price, MOQ, marketplace badges, product relevance, samples, certifications, contracts, and factory capabilities should be reviewed before selecting a supplier.

Does possible_same_supplier prove the companies are identical?

No. It is a conservative company-name match that helps you find profiles worth checking. Verify the legal company names, addresses, registration information, and source profiles yourself.

What happens if one website fails?

The default behavior keeps results from the successful marketplace and records the failure in RUN_SUMMARY.json. Enable Strict failure mode if partial results are unsuitable for your workflow.

Limitations

  • Results depend on the live marketplace layouts, access controls, current listings, and source Actor availability.
  • Not every supplier publishes every company, price, MOQ, rating, or profile field.
  • Image-search rankings do not provide a trustworthy universal similarity score.
  • Marketplace trust badges and supplier claims are not independently verified by this Actor.
  • The Actor does not contact suppliers, validate certifications, negotiate prices, or make purchasing decisions.

Support

When reporting a problem, include:

  • the combined Actor run ID
  • the affected source run ID from RUN_SUMMARY.json
  • sanitized input without private or signed image URLs
  • expected versus actual behavior
  • relevant log lines

Responsible use

Use this Actor responsibly and in compliance with Alibaba's and Made-in-China's terms, applicable laws, Apify platform policies, personal-data rules, and reasonable request volumes.
