What is Workable Job Scraper?
Workable Job Scraper is an Apify Actor that extracts job listings from Workable's job board — a meta search that aggregates open roles from every company that runs its careers page on Workable's applicant tracking system. It pulls structured data directly from Workable's own job-search API, including full job descriptions, requirements, benefits, and workplace type.
Think of it as a Workable jobs API alternative — there is no official public API for this kind of cross-company search, but this scraper delivers the same structured job data programmatically. It's built for recruitment analytics, labor market research, and lead generation across companies hiring on Workable.
What can Workable Job Scraper do?
- 🔍 Keyword + location search — search any job title, skill, or phrase, scoped to a city, country, region (e.g. "Europe"), or "remote"
- 📅 Recency filtering — restrict results to jobs posted in the past 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days
- 🔗 Three URL modes — pass a Workable search URL, a company job-list URL, or a direct job URL in
startUrls, and mix all three in one run - 📄 Full job descriptions — every job includes complete
description_textanddescription_html, plus separately parsedrequirementsandbenefitssections - 🏠 Workplace type — remote, hybrid, or on-site classification when Workable exposes it
- ⏱️ Scheduling & API access — run on autopilot with Apify Schedules and pull results via the Apify API or client libraries
- 📊 Multiple export formats — download as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML, HTML, or RSS

Use cases
- 📊 Recruitment intelligence — build hiring datasets across every company that uses Workable, filtered by role and location
- 🎯 Sales prospecting — find companies actively hiring and enrich outreach lists with role and company context
- 📈 Labor market research — track workplace-type mix (remote/hybrid/on-site) and employment-type distribution across regions
- 📅 Job market monitoring — schedule recurring runs and combine with
posted_dateto track new postings only - 🔌 Pipeline integration — feed job data into Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier, Make, or custom systems via Apify Integrations
- 🤖 Training data collection — build datasets of structured job postings for NLP, resume matching, or recommendation systems
How it works
- The Actor resolves your
keyword, location, andposted_dateinto a Workable search request — or classifies each of yourstartUrlsas a search, company, or direct job URL - Search and company sources are paginated automatically until
results_wantedis reached - Each job is then fetched individually to capture its full description, requirements, benefits, and external application URL when one exists
- Every job is pushed to the dataset as it's collected, so partial results are available even if a run is stopped early

FAQ
Why is linkout_url usually null?
Most companies on Workable accept applications natively through their Workable job page, so there's no external redirect. linkout_url is only populated for the smaller subset of listings that point candidates to an external careers site.
Can I search for remote jobs specifically?
Yes. Set location to "remote". Note that Workable's own location matching can still surface some hybrid or on-site roles that mention remote-friendly options — check the workplace_type field on each result for the authoritative classification.
What's the difference between a search URL, a list URL, and a job URL in startUrls?
A search URL (jobs.workable.com/search?...) runs a keyword/location search. A company URL (jobs.workable.com/company/...) lists every open role at that company. A job URL (jobs.workable.com/view/...) fetches a single job directly. You can mix all three in one startUrls array.
What happens if a search returns no jobs? The Actor finishes successfully with an empty dataset and logs a warning — this isn't treated as an error.
Can I schedule recurring runs?
Yes. Use Apify Schedules to run daily, weekly, or at any interval, and combine with posted_date to track only new postings.
Can I access the data via API? Yes. Use the Apify API or the official Python and JavaScript client libraries to run the Actor and retrieve results programmatically.
What export formats are supported? JSON, CSV, Excel (XLSX), XML, HTML, and RSS. Download directly from the Apify Console or via the API.
Is there a free trial? Yes. New Apify users get free platform credit to try Workable Job Scraper before committing to a paid plan.
