πŸ“¦ Amazon Products Scraper

πŸš€ Export any Amazon search into a spreadsheet in seconds. Type a keyword or paste a filtered search URL and get every product as a flat 35-field row: ASIN, title, price, list price, discount, rating, review count, the "1K+ bought in past month" demand line, sponsored flag and the delivery promise. Turn on product details and each row also carries the specification table, feature bullets, availability, category path, Best Sellers Rank and up to 20 high-resolution images.

Amazon publishes more than most scrapers bother to read. A single search page declares its own result total, renders about 36 product cards, and prints on each card how many units sold in the past month. This Actor keeps all of it, deduplicates products that Amazon repeats across pages, and never charges you twice for the same ASIN.

It also splits the work across two proxy types on purpose, and that is why it is cheap. Amazon refuses datacenter exits on search pages but serves product pages over them with identical fields, so the heavy detail pages ride a connection whose transfer is not billed.

🎯 Target AudienceπŸ’‘ Primary Use Cases
E-commerce sellers and brandsTrack competitor pricing, discounts and review velocity on your category
Repricing and analytics toolsFeed a live price and stock signal without maintaining scrapers
Market researchersSize a niche from the result count and the units-sold-per-month line
Retail arbitrage and sourcingFind discounted products with strong demand and thin competition

πŸ“‹ What the Amazon Products Scraper does

πŸ’‘ Why it matters: Most Amazon scrapers give you a price and a title. The two fields that tell you whether a product is worth anything are the ones they drop: how many units moved last month, and what the list price was before the discount. Both are on the card. This Actor keeps them.

  • πŸ”Ž Search by keyword or by URL: type wireless mouse, or paste a search URL you already filtered on the site and get exactly those results.
  • πŸ’΅ Real pricing: price, list price, whether it is discounted and by what percentage, read from the card rather than inferred.
  • πŸ”₯ Demand signal: the "1K+ bought in past month" line Amazon prints on most cards, which is the closest thing to a public sales figure.
  • ⭐ Ratings that are actually numbers: Amazon abbreviates review counts as "44.9K" on the card. This Actor expands that to 44,900 instead of storing 44.9.
  • πŸ“’ Sponsored flag: know which results are ads before you draw conclusions from a ranking.
  • 🚚 Delivery promise: whether delivery is free and the date Amazon quotes.
  • βž• Optional product details: specifications, feature bullets, availability text, category path, Best Sellers Rank and up to 20 high-resolution images, charged only when the page actually returns them.
  • πŸ” Clean data: one row per ASIN, deduplicated across pages, the same 35 columns every time, N/A instead of blank cells and error reserved for failures.

✨ Why choose this Actor

  • The demand line, kept. "10K+ bought in past month" is the only public sales signal Amazon prints, and most scrapers drop it.
  • Review counts are correct. Amazon writes "44.9K" on the card. Storing that as 44.9 is a wrong fact, not a formatting choice. This Actor expands it.
  • No double charging. Amazon repeats products across search pages: five sampled pages of one query returned 109 unique products, not 180. Rows are deduplicated on ASIN.
  • Honest ceilings. The README tells you what Amazon will and will not give, instead of promising a full catalogue.
  • Cheap by design. Product pages ride a proxy type whose transfer is not billed, which is why details cost a fraction of what they usually do.

πŸš€ How to use

  1. Create a free Apify account with $5 in credit.
  2. Open the Amazon Products Scraper.
  3. Type one or more Search terms, or paste Amazon search URLs into Start URLs.
  4. Set Max items. Tick Include product details if you need specifications and images.
  5. Click Start and download the dataset as CSV, Excel, JSON or XML.

Free-plan runs return up to 10 products as a preview. Upgrade your Apify plan to collect up to 1,000,000 products per run.

πŸ’Ό Business use cases

  • Competitive repricing. Watch a category daily and react when a rival discounts.
  • Product research. Rank candidates by units sold last month against review count to find demand with thin competition.
  • Brand monitoring. Track who is selling your product, at what price, and whether they are running ads.
  • Assortment planning. Pull an entire category with specifications to compare feature coverage.
  • Deal sourcing. Filter for high discount percentage plus strong monthly sales.

πŸ”Œ Automating Amazon Products Scraper

Schedule the Actor from the Apify Console and it reruns on its own. Point a webhook at your warehouse and each finished run lands there. Prices and stock move daily, so a daily schedule on your key terms is the usual setup.

🌟 Beyond business use cases

  • Check whether that "deal" is actually below its normal price.
  • Build a personal price watch on something you are waiting to buy.
  • Compare specifications across an entire category without opening thirty tabs.

πŸ€– Ask an AI assistant about this scraper

Paste this into ChatGPT, Claude or any assistant with web access:

I want to collect Amazon product data. Look at https://apify.com/parseforge/amazon-products-scraper and tell me how to configure a run that returns the first 200 results for a keyword with specifications and images attached, and what each of the 35 output fields means.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Build the search on amazon.com with whatever filters you want, copy the URL, and paste it into Start URLs.

About 36 cards per page. Amazon repeats products across pages, so five pages of one query gave 109 unique products rather than 180.

πŸ”’ What is totalResults?

The number Amazon itself reports for the query, e.g. 44,813 for "wireless mouse". It is the size of the haystack, not how many rows you will get.

πŸ”₯ What does boughtInPastMonth mean?

Amazon prints a units-sold line on most cards, like "10K+ bought in past month". It is the closest public proxy for sales volume.

πŸ’¬ Why is reviewCount sometimes a round number?

Because Amazon abbreviates it. "44.9K" on the card is expanded to 44,900. Exact counts below 1,000 are exact.

βž• What do product details add?

Specifications, feature bullets, availability text, category path, Best Sellers Rank and up to 20 high-resolution images. Each product page is a separate request, charged only when it returns something.

πŸ›‘οΈ Do I need a proxy?

Yes, and the defaults are already correct. Amazon answers unproxied traffic with HTTP 503, and it refuses datacenter exits on search pages while accepting them on product pages.

🏭 Why is brand empty unless I turn on details?

Amazon removed the brand from search cards in the current layout. It lives on the product page, so it arrives with the detail fields.

πŸ“’ Should I filter out sponsored results?

If you are measuring organic ranking, yes. The isSponsored column marks them so you can decide.

⚠️ What do N/A values mean?

Amazon does not publish that value for that product. Blank cells never appear.

🌍 Which Amazon marketplace does this cover?

amazon.com. Other marketplaces are a separate Actor.

⏰ Can I run this on a schedule?

Yes. Schedule it in the Apify Console. Daily is typical for pricing work.

πŸ“„ What output formats are supported?

CSV, Excel, JSON, XML, JSONL and RSS, from the dataset tab or the API.

❌ What happens when a page fails?

The Actor retries on a fresh proxy exit, and if it still fails it writes a row carrying only error and moves on. Error rows are never charged.

πŸ”Œ Integrate with any app

The dataset is available through the Apify API the moment the run finishes. Use the run-sync-get-dataset-items endpoint for one-shot calls, webhooks to trigger downstream jobs, or the Make, Zapier, Airbyte and LangChain integrations listed on the Actor page.
