Coinbase Exchange Products Scraper

Scrape every trading product on Coinbase Exchange, from spot pairs to perpetual futures, with live price and 24h stats. Filter by quote currency, status, or volume, sort by top movers, and export a flat list to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML. No API key required.

Coinbase's official API needs authentication, pagination logic, and separate calls for product lists, tickers, and stats. This Actor reads the public exchange endpoints directly, filters products by quote currency or trading status, and optionally enriches each row with live last price, bid/ask, and 24h volume, high, low, and open. You get one clean dataset ready for market screening, pair discovery, or portfolio tools.

Who uses itWhat they scrape Coinbase Exchange for
Quantitative tradersBuild a daily universe of tradeable Coinbase pairs filtered by quote currency and minimum 24h volume.
Market analystsMonitor which pairs are online, offline, or delisted to track exchange coverage changes.
Crypto data providersPopulate a product master table with base/quote currencies, status, and price feeds.
Arbitrage bot operatorsPull live bid/ask and last price across all USD and USDC pairs to spot cross-venue spreads.

What it does

This Actor collects every trading product listed on Coinbase Exchange and returns each one as a flat row, with optional live ticker and 24h statistics attached.

  • ๐Ÿ’ฑ Quote currency filter: restrict output to USD, EUR, GBP, USDT, USDC, BTC, or ETH pairs only.
  • ๐Ÿ“Š Live market data: attach last price, bid, ask, 24h volume, 24h high, 24h low, and 24h open to every product row.
  • ๐Ÿ” Status filter: keep only online, offline, internal, or delisted products, or return all statuses.
  • ๐Ÿ“ˆ Volume and price sorting: order results by 24h volume or last price descending before the item limit cuts in.
  • โšก Flat row output: one product per row, no nested objects, ready for spreadsheets and databases.

Results export to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML, or straight from the API.

What you can do with Coinbase Exchange data

๐Ÿ’ต Screen USD pairs by volume.

A quant researcher runs the Actor daily with quoteCurrency=USD, statusFilter=online, sortBy=volume24h, and maxItems=200 to feed a liquidity ranking into their trading model.

๐Ÿ“‹ Audit exchange listings.

A compliance officer pulls all products with statusFilter=delisted once a week to update an internal register of removed trading pairs.

๐Ÿ”” Detect new pairs.

A data engineer diffs consecutive daily runs to spot newly added product IDs and triggers an alert for the trading desk.

๐ŸŒ Build a USDC market snapshot.

A DeFi protocol operator fetches all USDC-quoted pairs with live stats enabled to compare on-chain and off-chain liquidity.

Why choose this scraper

What you get

How it compares

Three actors on Apify target Coinbase product data. This one focuses on the full exchange product catalog with live price enrichment, while the others track cross-exchange listings or return only basic product fields.

Configure the run

Drive the Actor with a quote currency filter, a status filter, and a sort order. Filters run as products are read so only matching pairs reach your dataset, and the optional live data toggle adds ticker and stats fields to each row. The Input tab lists every parameter.

A first run with the defaults:

{
"statusFilter": "online",
"maxItems": 10,
"fetchDetails": true
}

A larger pull:

{
"statusFilter": "online",
"maxItems": 200,
"fetchDetails": true
}

Run it

  1. Create a free Apify account with $5 in credit.
  2. Open the Coinbase Exchange Products Scraper.
  3. Set your inputs and any filters, then click Start.
  4. Export the results as CSV, Excel, JSON, or XML from the Dataset tab.

Run it programmatically through the Apify API (run-sync-get-dataset-items) or the ApifyClient for JavaScript and Python.

Use with AI agents (MCP)

Give an AI agent live access to Coinbase Exchange through the Model Context Protocol. Add the Actor to Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client:

$claude mcp add --transport http apify "https://mcp.apify.com?tools=parseforge/coinbase-exchange-products-scraper"

Then prompt it in plain language to run the scraper and read back the results.

Troubleshooting

Why am I getting only 10 results?

Free Apify accounts are limited to 10 items. Upgrade to a paid plan and set maxItems to a higher number to get more products.

The run is slow with fetchDetails enabled.

Enabling live data makes one extra HTTP request per product. For a full product list this adds time. Disable fetchDetails if you only need the product catalog without prices.

I see no results for my quote currency filter.

Check that Coinbase lists pairs with that quote currency. Try setting quoteCurrency to All products and statusFilter to All to see every available product, then narrow from there.

The sort order looks wrong.

Sorting happens before the maxItems cutoff. If you sort by volume24h but fetchDetails is disabled, volume data may not be available. Enable fetchDetails to populate the volume field for sorting.

Some products show no price data.

Products with status offline, internal, or delisted may not have active tickers. Set statusFilter to online and enable fetchDetails to get live prices only for actively trading pairs.

FAQ

QuestionAnswer
Do I need a Coinbase API key to run this?No. The Actor reads Coinbase's public REST endpoints that do not require authentication. You can run it immediately without any account setup.
What data does each product row contain?Every row includes the product ID, base and quote currencies, status, and trading flags. When you enable the live data toggle, it also adds last price, bid, ask, 24h volume, 24h high, 24h low, and 24h open.
How do I get only USD pairs?Set the quoteCurrency input to USD. The Actor will return only products where the quote currency is USD, such as BTC-USD or ETH-USD.
Can I fetch only online trading pairs?Yes. Set statusFilter to online. This is the default, so you will get only actively trading products unless you change it.
What does the fetchDetails toggle do?When enabled, the Actor calls Coinbase's ticker and 24h stats endpoints for each product. This adds live price and volume fields but makes the run slower because of the extra requests.
How many products can I scrape in one run?Free accounts are limited to 10 items as a preview. Paid accounts can set maxItems up to 1,000,000, which covers every product Coinbase lists.
Can I sort by 24h trading volume?Yes. Set sortBy to volume24h. The Actor will order products by 24h volume descending before applying the maxItems limit.
What export formats are supported?You can export your dataset as CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML from the Apify platform after the run completes.
Does this include Coinbase International Exchange products?The Actor reads the same public product endpoint that covers Coinbase Exchange. If a product appears in that endpoint, it will appear in your results.
How often should I run this Actor?Coinbase adds and removes products periodically. A daily scheduled run keeps your product master current. For live prices, run it more frequently with fetchDetails enabled.
