EUR-Lex Scraper

Scrape EU legal acts from EUR-Lex by document type and year, up to a million per run. Each act comes with its CELEX number, title, dates, and full text. No API key or registration. Export to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML.

EUR-Lex is the official portal for EU law, but its search interface is built for lawyers, not for bulk data collection. This Actor reads the public document feeds directly, filtered by document type and year, and returns each legal act in one fixed schema. No API key, no rate-limit headaches, no manual copying.

Troubleshooting

Why am I getting no results?

Check your document type and year filters. If you set a year with no documents of that type, the run will return an empty dataset. Try removing the year filter or choosing a different document type.

The run stops before reaching my maximum documents.

EUR-Lex may not have enough documents matching your filters. The Actor will return all available documents up to your maximum.

I see duplicate documents in my dataset.

EUR-Lex feeds can occasionally include the same document more than once. Use the CELEX number to deduplicate in your downstream processing.

The full text is missing for some documents.

Some older documents may not have full text available in the public feed. The Actor returns whatever text is provided by EUR-Lex.

The run is taking too long.

Reduce the maximum documents or narrow your filters. Large runs can take time because the Actor respects EUR-Lex rate limits.
