πŸ“£ LinkedIn Ad Library Scraper

πŸš€ Export any company's LinkedIn ads in seconds. Search by keyword, advertiser, payer or country and get 36 columns per ad, including full ad copy, video and document links, run dates, total impressions, impressions by country and the complete targeting breakdown.

This Actor reads the public LinkedIn Ad Library, the transparency archive LinkedIn keeps of every ad that runs on its platform, and turns it into a clean dataset. Every row is one ad, opened on its own detail page so you get the untruncated copy, the real media URLs and the "About the ad" disclosures, not just the preview card. No LinkedIn login, cookie or session token is needed.

It supports every filter the Ad Library search form offers: keyword, advertiser, paid by, 249 countries, date ranges, sort order, impression ranges and the targeting parameters an advertiser used or excluded. All 8 ad formats are parsed, from single image and video ads to carousels, document ads, message ads, job ads and thought leader ads. For ads with delivery in the EU, LinkedIn publishes reach data, and the Actor captures all of it: run dates, the impression range, the share of impressions per country and every targeted location, including the ones LinkedIn hides behind "N others".

🎯 Target AudienceπŸ’‘ Primary Use Cases
B2B marketers and demand gen teamsSee exactly what competitors run on LinkedIn
Paid social and ad agenciesBuild creative swipe files by industry
Competitive intelligence analystsTrack a rival's campaign cadence and reach
Sales teamsFind companies actively spending on LinkedIn ads
Market researchersMeasure which countries a category targets
Compliance and policy researchersAudit who pays for ads under the EU DSA

πŸ“‹ What the LinkedIn Ad Library Scraper does

  1. Searches the LinkedIn Ad Library with any mix of keyword, advertiser name and payer name.
  2. Applies the same filters as linkedin.com/ad-library: countries, date range, sort order, impression range and targeting parameters.
  3. Accepts Ad Library search URLs copied from your browser and single ad URLs, so you can reuse searches you already built.
  4. Pages through the results 24 ads at a time until your Max Items is reached.
  5. Opens every ad and extracts the full copy, headline, CTAs, landing page, image, video, carousel cards or document.
  6. Captures the "About the ad" disclosures: format, advertiser, who paid, run dates and run length in days.
  7. Captures reach and targeting where LinkedIn publishes them: total impressions, impressions by country, languages, locations and which targeting parameters were used or excluded.

πŸ’‘ Why it matters: a LinkedIn ad is the most expensive message a B2B company sends, so it is the clearest statement of what they want to sell and to whom. The Ad Library shows it all, one ad at a time. This Actor turns it into a table you can sort, filter and compare.

πŸ“Š Output

Each dataset row is one LinkedIn ad. 36 columns per row. Fields that do not apply to a format hold N/A, and reach fields LinkedIn does not publish for an ad hold Not Disclosed.

✨ Why choose this Actor

  • Every search filter LinkedIn has. Keyword, advertiser, payer, 249 countries, five date ranges plus custom dates, sort order, impression ranges and targeting parameters. Most alternatives take a URL and nothing else.
  • Full targeting, not a summary. LinkedIn shows "New York, NY, Jordan and 14 others". This Actor returns all 16 locations as a clean list, plus a per-parameter table of what the advertiser targeted and what they excluded.
  • All 8 ad formats. Single image, video, carousel, document, message, conversation, job and article ads, each with the fields that make sense for it: MP4 links, carousel cards, document page counts, message senders and job locations.
  • Thought leader ads resolved. When a company promotes an employee's post, you get both the member who appears to post it and the company that actually ran and paid for it.
  • Real run dates. Dates come back as 2026-09-23 with a computed runDays, ready for time series.
  • No login required. Nothing about your LinkedIn account is involved. The Actor reads only what the public Ad Library shows.
  • Honest columns. A field either holds data or an explicit sentinel. N/A means the field does not apply to that format, Not Disclosed means LinkedIn does not publish it for that ad.

One honest limit. LinkedIn publishes run dates, impressions and targeting only for ads delivered in the European Union, as required by the Digital Services Act. For ads that ran only outside the EU, you still get the creative, copy, advertiser and payer, and the reach fields come back as Not Disclosed. Filtering by an EU country (for example Germany) returns ads that all carry reach data.

πŸš€ How to use

  1. Create a free Apify account. New accounts include $5 of free platform credit, which is plenty to try this out: console.apify.com/sign-up
  2. Open the Actor and go to the Input tab.
  3. Type a Keyword, an Advertiser or a Paid by name, or paste LinkedIn Ad Library URLs.
  4. Pick the countries, date range and any other filters you want.
  5. Set how many ads you want with Max Items.
  6. Click Start, then open the Dataset tab and download as CSV, Excel, JSON or XML.

πŸ’Ό Business use cases

Competitor ad monitoring

Put a competitor's name in Advertiser, set the date range to the last 30 days and schedule the run weekly. startDate, endDate and runDays show which ads they keep running (the ones that work) and which they kill after a day. totalImpressions and impressionsByCountry show where the budget actually goes.

Creative research and swipe files

Search a keyword such as "software" or "cybersecurity" across a country and collect hundreds of live ads with their full copy, headlines, CTAs, images and video files. Sort by format to compare how the category uses video, carousels and document ads, and read body to see which hooks keep coming back.

Sales prospecting

Companies that advertise on LinkedIn have a marketing budget and an active campaign. Search your target category in your territory, deduplicate on advertiserName and advertiserUrl, and you have a list of accounts that are spending right now, with the ad that proves it.

Agency and payer intelligence

paidBy shows who is paying for each ad, which is often an agency rather than the brand. Search by Paid by to see every client an agency runs ads for, or collect a category to map which agencies dominate it.

πŸ”Œ Automating LinkedIn Ad Library Scraper

  • Make and Zapier: schedule runs and push new ads into a sheet, a CRM or a Notion database, so a new competitor campaign becomes a task automatically.
  • Slack: post a digest of new ads from the companies you watch into a marketing channel.
  • Airbyte: sync the dataset into Snowflake, BigQuery or Postgres for longer term campaign analysis.
  • GitHub: trigger runs from Actions and keep versioned snapshots of a competitor's ad history.
  • Google Drive: drop a fresh CSV into a shared folder after every run.
  • API and webhooks: every run emits a dataset ID. Subscribe to the run succeeded webhook and pull items from the Apify API into any system.

🌟 Beyond business use cases

  • Research: study political, issue and commercial advertising on a professional network, and how advertisers target by country and language.
  • Personal: see what a company you are interviewing with is promoting and who it is trying to reach.
  • Non-profit: monitor ads that touch your cause, and who pays for them.
  • Experimentation: ad copy with reach buckets is a clean dataset for text classification and ad performance modelling.

πŸ€– Ask an AI assistant about this scraper

Paste this into ChatGPT, Claude or any assistant to get help designing your run:

I am using the ParseForge LinkedIn Ad Library Scraper on Apify. It searches the public LinkedIn Ad Library by keyword, advertiser, payer, countries, date range, sort order, impression range and targeting parameters, and returns one row per ad with 36 fields including advertiserName, paidBy, format, body, headline, clickUrl, videoUrl, startDate, endDate, runDays, totalImpressions, impressionsByCountry, targetingLocations and targetingParameters. Reach and targeting are published only for ads delivered in the EU. Help me design a run and an analysis to answer this question: [your question here].

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

πŸ” Do I need a LinkedIn account or cookie? No. The LinkedIn Ad Library is public. The Actor never asks for credentials.

πŸ‘ Why do some ads have no impressions, dates or targeting? LinkedIn publishes those only for ads delivered in the European Union, under the Digital Services Act. Ads that ran only outside the EU show the creative, the advertiser and the payer, and the reach fields come back as Not Disclosed. Filter by an EU country to get reach data on every row.

πŸ”Ž How do I search for one company's ads? Type its name in Advertiser. LinkedIn matches the name as text, so "microsoft" also returns related pages and partners that use the name. Check advertiserName and advertiserUrl to keep exactly the page you want.

πŸ”— Can I paste a search from my browser? Yes. Build the search on linkedin.com/ad-library, copy the URL and paste it into Ad Library URLs. Single ad URLs like https://www.linkedin.com/ad-library/detail/1573712114 work too.

πŸ“… How far back can I go? The Date range filter offers all time, the last 30 days, this month, this year and last year. LinkedIn's custom range covers the last 12 months.

πŸ‘₯ What is a thought leader ad? A company promoting a post from one of its employees. For those ads, postedByName is the member and advertiserName is the company that ran and paid for it.

🎬 Can I download the videos? videoUrl is a direct MP4 link at the highest quality LinkedIn serves. Media links are signed by LinkedIn and can expire, so download what you need soon after the run.

πŸ”€ What about ads with several versions? LinkedIn shows the first version on the ad page. The Actor returns that one and reports the number of versions shown in variantCount.

🌐 Do I need a proxy? Yes for anything beyond a handful of ads. LinkedIn limits how many pages one IP address can open in a short time and blocks most datacenter addresses. Residential proxies, the default, give every request a fresh address.

πŸ“₯ What export formats are supported? CSV, Excel, JSON, XML, plus direct API access and integrations with Make, Zapier, Airbyte, Slack, Google Drive and more.

βš–οΈ Is this legal? The Actor collects only information LinkedIn publishes in its public Ad Library for transparency. You remain responsible for how you use the data, including GDPR and any local rules.

πŸ”Œ Integrate with any app

Every run writes to an Apify dataset reachable through a REST API, so the output drops into whatever you already use. Native integrations cover Make, Zapier, Airbyte, Slack, Google Drive, GitHub, Google Sheets and webhooks, and the API covers everything else.
