Search the City of Seattle SDCI Trade Permits file on the Seattle open data portal (about 290,000 permits, updated daily). Trade permits cover the jobs the main building permit file leaves out: furnaces and heat pumps, mechanical, commercial refrigeration, boilers and pressure vessels, elevators (conveyance), fire sprinklers, signs and billboards.

Each result includes:

  • permit number, permit type and class (single family, multifamily, commercial...)
  • work description and estimated project cost
  • applied, issued, expiration and completed dates, current status
  • contractor company name
  • address, ZIP, link to the permit record, latitude and longitude

Results are newest application first. No API key, no CAPTCHA. Pricing: $0.002 per permit + $0.0001 start.
