USPTO Trademark Pro-Se Leads
Every business day the USPTO publishes a bulk XML file of trademark application activity. This actor delivers the subset law firms actually prospect: applications with no attorney of record, filed within the last 7 days. Each run returns the newest published day's leads as a dataset.
Each lead contains
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| serial | USPTO serial number |
| filing_date | Date the application was filed |
| mark | The mark as filed |
| owner_name | Applicant name |
| owner_city, owner_state, owner_postcode, owner_country | Applicant mailing address |
| correspondent_name | Name on the correspondence record |
| classes | International classes, semicolon separated |
| goods | Goods and services description, truncated at 500 characters |
| status_code | USPTO status code at publication |
| first_seen | Date this serial first appeared in the feed |
How the data is built
The origin pipeline pulls the USPTO Trademark Daily XML Applications file, parses every case file, flags records with an empty attorney field, and dedupes by serial number. An application appears in the feed once. If the applicant later hires an attorney, the record is marked and dropped from weekly rollups, so you are not paying to contact someone who already has counsel. Every raw source zip is retained. Any lead traces back to a named US government file.
Current volume is public before you spend anything: https://feed.indigokarasu.com/status.json shows the last file date and lead counts.
How to run
Add a daily schedule. Each run fetches the newest published day. Pricing is per lead delivered. A day with no new leads costs nothing. Weekends and federal holidays have no USPTO publication.
Source and terms
USPTO bulk data is a US government work in the public domain. This dataset is normalized public record information. It is not legal advice. If you use it to market legal services, attorney advertising and solicitation rules in your jurisdiction apply to you, not to the feed.
