What does Kick Chat History Scraper do?

Kick Chat History Scraper takes one or more Kick channel ids and pushes each channel's chat mode settings (slow mode, followers-only, subscribers-only) plus its recent chat message history, one dataset row per channel.

It talks directly to the same internal API the official Kick Android app uses (mobile.kick.com), reverse-engineered by capturing and analyzing live traffic from the real app. No Kick account, no API key. This is the chat-history slice of Kick All-in-One API, split out as its own focused Actor.

Why use Kick Chat History Scraper?

  • Two calls in one row — chat settings and message history, fetched in parallel and merged into a single dataset item per channel id
  • Plain REST polling, no WebSocket needed — the parent Actor's own live chat stream is built on top of exactly this endpoint
  • No account needed — every read request works fully anonymously
  • Use cases: chat moderation review, sentiment analysis snapshots, chat-mode auditing across channels

How it connects to the parent

This Actor wraps two of the parent Kick All-in-One API's Standby endpoints — GET /channels/{id}/chat/settings and GET /channels/{id}/chat/history — as a normal batch-run Actor (input in, dataset out) instead of an always-on API.

Input

FieldTypeDescription
channelIdsstring[]Required. Numeric Kick channel ids (not slugs) — from kick-channel-profile-scraper's channel.id, or the parent's GET /channels/{slug}.
startTimestring (date-time)ISO 8601. Chat history is fetched going backward from this point. Defaults to now if omitted.

Example:

{
"channelIds": ["18750821", "124912670"]
}

Output

One dataset row per channel id:

{
"channelId": 18750821,
"settings": { "slow_mode": { "enabled": false }, "subscribers_mode": { "enabled": false } },
"messages": [
{
"id": "c62e3b2d-...",
"chat_id": 4351775,
"content": "...",
"sender": { "username": "..." },
"created_at": "2026-08-30T12:00:00Z"
}
]
}

Known limitations

  • This is a single point-in-time snapshot, not a live feed. chat/history returns messages going backward from startTime/now — it does NOT continuously capture new messages arriving after the call returns. For continuous, bounded live capture, use the sibling Actor kick-live-chat-stream.
  • Requires the channel's numeric id, not its slug — resolve via kick-channel-profile-scraper first if you only have a slug.
  • This is an unofficial, reverse-engineered integration, not affiliated with or endorsed by Kick Streaming, Inc. Behavior may change if Kick changes its API.
